Reaction Sequel Update · 9:18pm Apr 10th, 2017

Hey, guys, I have an update for you about the sequel to Reaction and progress toward that end. More info below the break.

I spent the past week or so reading/rereading Meltdown and Reaction in preparation for the sequel. I found out that I do not like Meltdown, it made me cringe and wince. Maybe my writing's improved, or maybe I'm just too hard on myself. Or maybe it's really just that bad. I made a list of notes to keep in mind, but I am sure I missed some things.

Also, while rereading, I noticed just how much I need to go through and edit Reaction. It could use a lot of editing in some of the chapters, especially chapters 5 6 and 7. I made three notes about chapter 6 needing edits.

I've been giving more thought to the sequel, and I'm making progress on coming up with what it'll be and all that. When I created what will be the sequel, I had no idea what to name it, so I used the placeholder name "Incandescent." I plan to instead name the story "Critical Mass."

The most basic, spoiler free plot outline I can give would be starting out on a happier note, with Twilight getting better, feeling better, being less depressed, etc, then the complication where things rapidly get dark/heavy, where it will stay for a shortish while (a few chapters, depending on chapter size and what all I need to take care of during this, could range up to 5 chapters [note that I do not plan to have chapters being supermassive like in Reaction]), then it'll climax and it'll go back to lowish mood, but it'll have fluff n stuff. The story ends on a happy note, so don't worry about anything tragic. I plan to have a really sweet, touching moment in it toward the end, but of course, that moment can't happen unless the darkest part happens. I'm pretty much sold on that part, just need to work out the finer details.

TL;DR, the sequel will get heavy, but it ends on a happy note. I hope you're not too upset that it'll get heavy.

I'm still working on the other two stories. I'm planning to finish one of them on/before the 20th of May, so I'll probably start working on the Sequel within the next month or two. I still have no idea how long the sequel will be, but I don't plan on it being as long as Reaction since it takes a darker tone although I'm somewhat skilled with dark stories.

Originally, I had planned to include an author's commentary in this blog, briefly going over my thoughts on Reaction, but I decided against that. Maybe in the future, if anyone's interested, I could do that. It might be fun. Maybe even an in-depth commentary with me rereading Reaction or one of my other stories.

Feel free to comment below. Please do.

Cool, looking forward to it.

glad to hear that the planing going well.

Well to be honest the darker a story gets the more I like it. Also take your time writing don't feel like you need to rush it for us. Take your time and create quality not quantity.
