Glass is actually an extremely viscous liquid, which is why in some old buildings, the glass on their windows is slightly thicker at the bottom than at the top of the window.
Samsung also manufactures tanks.
In Minecraft, the torch was originally going to become changed to a temporary lighting source that would "burn out", and be replaced by lanterns. The change was never made.
SD cards and the built-in e-MMC chips in some SSDs and phones are functionally the exact same.
CF cards use the same connection interface as IDE hard drives, which use a (in a way) modified ISA protocol. In addition to this, PCMCIA cards, which were superseded by USB and ExpressCard, also used an interface much like CF cards.
ExpressCard was an early attempt to bring a usable PCI-E interface to laptops as removable cards. Technically, it is feasible to create an adapter to bridge the PCI-E x1 interface within expresscard to an external GPU. However, with the advent of Thunderbolt, a standard created in conjunction by Apple and Intel, ExpressCard is pretty much dead, because Thunderbolt, as opposed to using cards, contains a full PCI-E-compliant link as of Thunderbolt 3, allowing for external GPUs to easily be connected.
Parallel ports, sometimes known as the "printer port" on computers, used to have nearly the same universal functions as USB, with the ability to connect a wide range of devices, from external drives, to printers, (obviously), to even early PDAs.
Firewire was once far faster than USB, but then the tables turned, and now pretty much no computers ship with Firewire support anymore.
Glass is not a liquid, the only reason why it's thicker at the bottom in older buildings is because people sucked at making glass back then.
4485286 Just did a bit more research on it. It's neither a solid or a liquid, but rather a solid with some liquid-like properties, AKA an amorphous solid.
When those buildings were made, glue was not as sophisticated. Windows were made thick at the bottom to keep them in place.
