Hello, and welcome to a special edition of Thought Prism Recommends. Why is it special? Well, you'll have to read on to find out.
Today, I'm going to talk about There Will Be Peace. Unlike previous instances of this blog series, it is not detailing a show or game, but rather a story. While there are no pastel ponies involved, it's still a fanfic, though, being set in the universe of Rooster Teeth's long-running RWBY series. If you've seen that show, you probably think it's flipping amazing like I do. And while There Will Be Peace isn't on the same level yet, with only one chapter released, it certainly has the potential to become that good. Taking place before the end of the Great War, it's essentially a fixfic retconning said end into something far more engrossing and meaningful than what Rooster Teeth gave us. The story features five well-developed protagonists, leading different lives and overcoming different struggles, only for each of them to separately come to the conclusion that the war must end before their lives intersect. For fans of genre stories, there's something for everybody among the five, from character drama to action. I, for one, can't wait to find out where the author takes it next.
Ok, confession time. This is actually just a shameless plug. 
The author is one of my best friends, and this is the first real fanfic he's produced. I'm also his editor. All that stuff I just said is still true, though. As a storyteller, he's far from green, given the multiple engrossing D&D campaigns he's run in the past. Now go give There Will Be Peace a shot.
