Digital Sony VHS previews! · 4:50pm Feb 26th, 2017

These were found on my 2000 DVD of Stuart Little as one of the extra features on the disc, which you could only see if you put this in your (ideally, NOT 64-bit) computer. I purchased the DVD in 2013 off the website of Wonder Book and Video in Frederick, Maryland.

The preview, of course, isn't even presented in DVD quality. It is extremely low-res at only 320x240, the frame rate is only 10FPS, and the video is compressed to 16-bit color thanks to the limitations of Smacker videos. This, if you ignore those traits, probably is the same preview seen if you recorded a tape with this preview off-air.

Even if the quality is shit, it is undeniable that "it's still weird to look at this and not see all the imperfections of VHS taking place -- audio crackle, blue/red noise, picture wobble, dot crawl...to be fair, some of those are negated if you have a good enough VCR, but I think you get the point. There's also no color fading or bleeding either, which is probably the most jarring difference to me." (VaultHS)

This is basically same story, different preview. Only real difference is one could only see this on an analog VHS if it weren't for this QuickTime file, and plus I don't think this preview ever did show up on PPV.
