So wtf inspired the Sacrifice chapter in Getting Back to Good?

So for those who read the chapter Sacrifice, it was a pretty intense chapter right? Well, I had a couple people ask me what inspired me to write the chapter. Well a few things. One of them is an anime, specifically Death Parade at the end of episode 9. That music and the scene itself got the gears turning in my head. The setup, the intensity, the timing of the song and visuals, and the lyrics of the song hit a cord with me. This is what I recommend, listen to this song:

and read that chapter. To me, it makes the experience better.

Another reason, well, that reason will have to wait since it is still being written and if I say it now, it'll ruin the experience. But it's something I will be going into soon.
