Some are probably wondering why I have done little to nothing over the past month or so. There are several reasons, but the main factos can be reduced down to these:
1. A bit the forbidden bullet and returned to World of Warcraft. Been playing that when I have ample time and greatly enjoying it.
2. I switched from a broadcasting major to an education major. Needless to say, there is a LOT more homework with an Ed major. I need to actually start trying to accomplish things again, which threw me for a loop at first.
3. After analyzing the fourth Black Sun chapter, it was evident that it wasn't up to snuff with the others, so I essentially scrapped the entire thing. If there was any kind of spirit breaker in the writing process, that was it. Killed a lot of motivation.
4. Honestly not sure how I feel about ponies, anymore. As I grow older, I find myself distancing - or at least trying to -myself further from MLP for reasons both personal and professional. If I am to become a teacher in the future, i'm not sure I'd want my students stumbling upon some of the stuff I've written or had planned to write for a little girl's cartoon. Depending on the district, questionable content, regardless of when it was made, could cost me a job. Granted, it would be a slim to none chance that someone would find out my online persona surrounding MLP, but in these days of advancing technology and disappearing privacy, one can never be too sure.
5. Writing had become way too stressful. It's supposed to be a therapeutic, relaxing activity. it started to become something I loathed, but I still did it because I felt I have something to prove. There are times where I can be a competitive person, and since I had hit the featured box once, I felt it was my duty as an aspiring writer to try and repeat history. While I'm unsure how close to history I can come, I am well aware of why Princess Problem garnered the attention it did. *cough* It's porn *cough*. I'd expand more on the matter, but I'm not sure that's a can of worms I want to open, considering the community.
Hopefully this cleared up my absence of presence and content. after I (eventually) finish my commission, I'm not certain what I'll do. A lot of thinking and consideration is going to be put into this, so stay tuned, if you'd like.
