Corrected the issue with the hair. Though now as I think about it, a little feedback regarding the visual style I'm proposing would be useful; some things, while great as a still image, can be jarring as a moving image. We'll see.

Moving on to lighting. There are quite a few nodes you have to add such as Normal Map, Volume Object, Light Shader, Peg, and so forth. To make separate shadows, use of a "Carving Mask" in the "Overlay Mode" is necessary.

One thing I must point out: Light Shading does not work for premade images. So any vectors from say "The MLP Vector Club" on Deviantart is out the question (if you make vectors though I'm certain you can use the ai or svg files themselves.)
