What's up, every-guys? 94 here! I've been watching some 'Parallel Universe' videos on YouTube and got to thinking about how this could be affective within the world of MLP. I'm going to talk about... the Parallel Multiverse!!!!
As you all know, the Multiverse theory states that every universe/world/Earth has an alternate version of itself. Each universe is different from another. Some universes are different so slightly, others quite radically. The key to the Multiverse is 'choice', where a certain choice is made, like say... a 'yes or no' choice. The 'yes' was made in one universe while the 'no' was made in another universe. Each Earth is creating brand new universes with each choice being made everyday. That is the Multiverse.
Now, here's the explanation on a Parallel universe. Mostly when somebody says 'parallel universe', they mistake it with 'alternate universe'. Yes, parallel and alternate are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. As I just said before, alternate universes are results of a choice being made from a certain point in time, meaning before that point of time, the two universes were one single universe until the choice was made.
A parallel universe, however, is the complete opposite of that. A parallel universe is a completely different and SEPARATE universe from ours. It has its own timeline, its own history, its own people and, most importantly, its own array of choices and events. There may be parallel versions of the people in our universe and may/may not have similarities, but that's pretty much all the two universes have in common with each-other. Other than that, they have nothing to do with each-other, whats-so-ever.
Like our universe, however, the parallel universe has its own array of alternate worlds, meaning the parallel universe is a multiverse too. Just to let you know that the 'parallel's' alternate universes and 'our' alternate universes have nothing to do with each-other. That's what I like to call 'A Parallel Multiverse', a multiverse that is completely separate from our multiverse.
Now, here's my theory, I suspect that the main MLP universe and the EQG universe are, in fact, parallels to each-other. It explains why in the EQG world, there are no sightings of counterparts of villains from Equestria, no history of human world magic and no references that world's versions of events from Equestria. Because that world is its own universe with its own timeline and its own history and events. While it had parallel versions of the inhabitants of Equestria and has a way of crossing between the two, it has NO true strong connection between it and Equestria.
It also explains why the portal between the two universes only opened every thirty moons, because the void between the two was so thick, nothing could get through, until when the moon and stars aligned like in the first EQG movie, the void is at its weakest, thus making it possible for anyone to cross over.
Whereas the mirror-verse, in the Reflections arc in the IDW MLP comics, was just a plain old 'alternate universe' to the prime Equestria, meaning at one point in time, maybe way back in the past, the two Equestrias were one single world, until a certain choice was made, snapping the single Equestria into two. That also explains why the two worlds were linked. As to why the pain of the evil princesses transferred to the good ones, but not the other way around, then please watch this video. 'Please ignore Canned Cream's comment on the EQG universe being an alternate universe at 1:31. That part made me want to punch him...'
Anyway, back to the Parallel Multiverse, just like the prime multiverse, the EQG universe could have its own alternate versions of itself, thus making it a parallel multiverse. It doesn't mean that the EQG universe is the ONLY parallel universe to Equestria. There can be many other parallel universes out there. And each parallel world has its own alternate dimensions. Each multiverse is separate from another.

4395457 IKR. Also, if you travel fast enough, you might be able to travel to a parallel universe and then, go a little slower, thus travelling to THAT universe's alternate Earths! Each parallel world has its own multiverse.
