So yeah, Space Wars Day or whatever

Honestly I've been checked out on Star Wars for a long time: longer than before the new trilogy came around to sour it even further. I mean I technically still write Star Wars, though it's nothing that can be accepted by any ol' fan. For one thing, the Ssi-Ruuk are regularly represented, and another is that they're not presented as their original selves. Still a shame they're so under-utilized in

So, in less than a day's time, the next US president will be sworn in. Many users of this site, of this fandom, will undoubtedly be affected by what this term will bring, for them and the world at large. But it is important to be confident, optimistic, to look for good wherever you can find it. To make the most of a bad situation or, if need be, to stand up and get a handle on things when said things are out of control. There's the possibility that nothing too negative or catastrophic will happen, and that the world will go on as it always has. Have hope for that outcome, that the balance of past years will at least be retained if not improved. If not, then look to yourselves for strength, as well as those close to you. And if it gets too oppressive, then do not be afraid to let yourself be known. To shout out that you will not go quietly into the night; that you will not vanish without a fight. But most importantly of all, know that we will survive, and that no matter what we will live on.

Ripped off Lone Star there, but I felt it to be oddly fitting. And as I sign-off, I'd like to make a random quote from an awesome, visionary musician who will be dearly missed: check ignition, and may God's love be with you.

Now, to brace for the unknown.
