taking longer than i thought · 9:05pm Jan 19th, 2017
sorry, I'm taking longer than you expected I'd take on fixing my story, but I've been distracted by playing the sims 3. wanted to improve my story making skill while playing with the cast of the story.
for those of you following the story, you may have noticed that I have removed the first two chapters, but don't worry, I plan on having the revised chapter one up sometime soon. just need to make a few edits on how to work the legend in.
if you want, though, here is a small sneak peak as to how the legend begins:
***
"Howdy-doo there, young mare! Or are you a colt? Wait, how many o' y'all are there? Apple Bloom! Where did ya put my glasses?!" The elderly mare shouted, wriggling in the creaking chair. Or maybe it was her joints...
"Sorry Granny," A young voice shouted from upstairs.
"Ponyfeathers... Pardon an ol' mare's manners Youngen! I didn't mean to curse." Granny Smith said as she rubbed her neck.
"It's oka-" I started to reply before Granny Smith silenced me with a wave of her hoof, continuing.
"Apple Bloom told me y'all came here 'cause o' the strange events happenin' lately around these parts. Indeed, I too saw these events when I was one o' the first to ever stomp a hoof on this grounds, but the key to these events..." she leaned forward,"... the key to these events is layin' far deeper in the past. I heard many tales during my travels, but this one stuck with me for a long time."
She straightened up again, staring into the distance blankly. The quiet interrupted only by the rhythmic ticking of the aged clocks. I started to wonder if Granny didn't fall asleep and forget to close her eyelids.
"A Long time ago," Granny Smith suddenly broke the silence, "...the ruins lyin' within the cursed Everfree were a mighty castle. Bloomin' with life, it was a stopover for anypony passin' through Equestria. Merchants brought unseen good from far away lands, royal soldier stories o' their great adventures and bards that wove those tales into even more unbelievable stories. One story stood out, however, was o' the little unicorn and her mysterious protector, The Silver Phoenix."
