First post of 2017! Plus, a story update! · 3:44am Jan 16th, 2017
Okay, first thing-- I just found out about the Equestria Girls tags a few days ago, so I took entirely too much pleasure in re-tagging my various stories ... and then, as a bonus, I clicked through to those tag 'pages' to find that my stories were some of the top rated in the new EQG categories, which obviously means I AM THE BEST AT EQUESTRIA GIRLS PONY STORIES.
(Well that, or most folks haven't clicked their stories to the new tags yet).
Still, I take entirely too much satisfaction at this.
In any case, 2017 is more or less just chugging along uneventfully. I've made it a resolution to write stuff every day, and I've stuck to it for the most part. Ostensibly, I'm working on original stuff, and I shall continue to do so ... but at the same time I figured 'oh, what the hell' and wound up hammering out a good 2k words on The Prisoner of Zebra. So now there's an update!
And, y'know, since The Prisoner of Zebra is mostly populated by OC's (or at least background ponies who are blank slatey enough to be OC's) that means it's ... kind of like writing not-fanfic, right? Still, I had a lot of fun writing this last chapter, and I'm inordinately proud of some of the silly gags I came up with, so check it out! The story's a bit different from my usual fare, but you can rest assured there will be hijinks a-plenty. I've got the plot more or less structured-- it'll just be a matter of finding the time to go ahead and hammer it out. If nothing else, I'd like to wrap this one up before I let myself work on other pony projects, just so I don't wind up with a bunch of 'on hiatus' stuff clogging up my library. I guess that's just what I get for writing stuff that's longer than 2000 pages of silly Rarijack dialogue. :)
