So, Last night I got from an editor a commission for Williwaw Winter. And with that look ... I just HAD to do a story. Williwaw doesn't often smile.... And that look... well, here you go. It's not great, but I'm getting back into writing after not doing much for eight months.

It was our typical situation here at home. All of us, meaning Williwaw Winter, Bobby Pins, Midnight Journey, Mist, and I were huddled around in our corner of the great hall going over and working up the report. From behind us, I could hear whispering.

"Come on man! If that puny little mare can take her on, then how big of a coward are you?"

"No way! Do you see the size of that mare! It'd take the lot of us to match her in size! And you know she grew up fighting!"

"Ah, your just chicken."

I put down the paper and glanced at the group. We all knew what was going on. Williwaw especially had that look of 'here we go again' written all over her face.

The pony they were talking about was none other than my soft blue friend. Williwaw is the largest pony in the fleet. Most mares only came to her chest; a stallion was lucky to measure in at her withers. And she had in fact grown up fighting. Her entire body was riddled with scars from long past battles. Though through her thick coat, they were all hard to see.

"Well?" Bobby spoke up in a hushed tone looking between us. "Are we going to sit here, are are we going to deal with the Peacocks?"

I rolled my eyes. "It's not the first time, nor will it be the last."

"I vote we ignore them." Midnight said. "I for one am tired, and I don't think Willy should be fighting after this week."

It was no joke; We'd been on a search and rescue mission, and the whole lot of us were exhausted."

"Come on man! If you're ever going to master the beast, you'll have to do it while she's down!"

That was the hair that broke the Tiger loose. Williwaw rose up and turned on them. "Willy never weak! Pony weak! If pony fights Williwaw, Williwaw win!"

I feel sorry for that colt... not the one being dared, the one doing the daring. She turned and rushed him, grabbing him in a choke hold and slamming him through two walls.

The rest of us were on our hooves in an instant, thundering after them.

I'm not surprised by how the fight ended. The poor colt was banged up, smelly and bloody as he tried to pull himself up and out of the sewage pit... Covered in rotten food, and other waste.

"PPFT!" I spewed, as Mist and I fell against one another in hearty laughter.

"Man!" The other colt who was right behind us breathed looking at our friend in horror.

Bobby joined us on the floor while Middy walked up solemnly to the dazed colt. "Son, Something you should know about the Great Williwaw, With a pony that sized, they're never weak. Believe me; I've tried that."

Williwaw turned and joined us, but before she did, she looked back over her shoulder with a soft smile. "Pony strong, but puny. Too Easy. But Pony stronger aged. Next time Pony do better."
