Well okay, "Rewrite" might be a little bit of an exaggeration, as most of it would remain almost exactly the same 
. Mostly I've been toying with the idea of dropping Locked Heart's Displaced status and making it just a standalone HiE crossover story- and yeah I know, I've been down this road before 
, but it's not about the negative stigma displaced stories have this time (well, mostly) and it really wouldn't be that hard; at most I'd be rewriting the first half of the prologue and deleting/editing a few lines and details later. I honestly didn't see this story having a whole lot of crossovers and void involvement anyway, and thus I really don't see what it adds to the story; so I figured maybe I should just get rid of it all together and avoid that extra layer of complication...
Another reason for this consideration is I've been rather, well... underwhelmed with other displaced stories of late 
. No offense to my fellow authors of course, maybe I'm just growing tired of the genre, but I've just not been seeing much I'd like to crossover with or that I'd think would work well for the story. Now I did just have a rather positive and, if I may say so myself, actually rather successful crossover with Maze and TheQuidam's Mystrio story but not only did that take awhile to actually happen but it seems like that kind of result more of an oddity than what's expected from a typical crossover. And I honestly just don't see them adding much to Tifa's story other than some maybe fun distractions, like side quests. Plus a lot of the stories and authors I had in mind for possible crossovers don't seem to be writting said stories anymore.
Equestria Gear will probably stay displaced, at least for the time being; if for nothing else than how much of a pain in the ass it would be to rewrite at this point 
. (Though I won't say it happening isn't still possible). But as far as Locked Heart goes agian, I'm having a hard time seeing that it's going to add anything to make it a better story, but maybe I'm just not seeing what may be what drew some of you wonderful followers to begin with- SO:
I have by no means made a decision yet so Please let me know what you think, your input could mean all the difference!
Other than that I've not a lot of news. The next chapters for both my stories ARE being worked on, just dealing with a few sturctural hurdles and irl distactions but the waits shouldn't be as long as the last ones . Personally I think the Displaced status should stay since the whole premise was someone dressed up as Tifa and became her, taking on her mantle much like Ethan took on Mysterio's mantle for good. The Void involvement is kinda something that might have to happen anyway cause realistically, lets get real here, you made a FF crossover with MLP, a Final Fantasy crossover. The Void is literally a massive plot point and part of the entire franchise's canon seeing how Exdeath and Cloud of Darkness are from there and that Dissidia is canon to the series. Heck many of the villains in the series are from other entries in the franchise under new backstories to fit the world or are the actual character finding their way in another entry.
With that in mind, I think the most appropriate crossovers you could do that could help move the story along and deal with some of the issues that the characters are gonna otherwise unknowingly cause which could destroy their world unless someone intervenes in time, are the various FF Displaced on here, a Kingdom Heart one, the Auron one for Golden Sun and SPD Emergency with the Sirian who has enough knowledge of FF I think, to help Tifa with her journey. Maybe even the Equestrian Psycho one with the Psycho Ranger.
Who knows maybe we could all get together on a chat or something and discuss ideas?

A fair point, though those voids wouldn't necessarily be the same as those of the displaced here, but a notable observation.
I've seen a few of the other FF displaced stories (if not necessarily read them) but very few still seem to be being worked on or again, I just may not be interested in working with the author. Haven't seen the Kingdom Hearts one if it's more recent and the only other one I see still going is the one where it seems to be the actual Cloud from the game (which could be a fun diversion as she's not his Tifa lol) but I see difficulty in any relevant story advancement with a lot of things as I said, but then I've been hitting walls pretty regularly lately and have some very mixed results in general when it comes to crossovers so maybe I've just been getting cynical and pessimistic about everything about the story in general lol

Not much for me to say on my part. I enjoyed making our special together and wish to maybe make another with you or someone else in the future. I also agree on your points about why the story might need a change. Sad to say, while my blog post shows there is still an enthusiasm for the prospect, other authors I was hoping to hear from are still silent. Oh well!

On one hand you already have a good set up for displaced, what with the phone and all. Each displaced story don't need a ton of crossovers, they don't even need to be big. A small side quest would work fine.
On the other hand, the amount of a active authors that I would personally readily agree to is few.
But on the other foot, you don't need to crossover with an actual story. Say you want a crossover where your character is summoned to help fight an evil Megaman from turning all of Equestria into robots. That story don't actually exist, but you can still have Tifa summoned to it and it would still count as a displaced.
On the other foot.... wait. I need that one to stand.
4366667 True though they might be connected. After all the Void is literally the Nothing, it doesn't exist yet it does, who to say in the multiverse or even the omniverse the Void isn't one massive realm connected to every universe out there? Really makes you think huh?
Those not being worked on might simply be on hiatus or the author is busy with something IRL or just hasn't gotten to that particular story but another. Whichever ones you might be interested in crossing over, contact the author and see what they're up to, simple as that.
Oh definitely work with that Cloud, it would be amusing, especially if they swapped stories and working whether this Shinra is an actual threat compared to Cloud's Shinra cause they have the same goals with the stones but different objectives, Celestia, unaware of the danger of messing with them, is trying to save the world from something and I'm still questioning why the Elements can't be used unless you went into that already, and the guy in charge in the game had selfish reasons or something and didn't care about the consequences I think.

I'd recommend a middle path. Still 'technically' Displaced, but divorced from most of the clusterfrak that resembles comic book continuity/crossovers back when the various multiverses were still being established.
Above all, first focus and establish this story in any rewrite before entertaining the idea of a crossover, and when you do eventually do one don't:
a) Make it so central to the plot that the readers are required to read the other person's story before being able to read this chapter (seen that mistake more times than I can count)
b) Connect it to some far off point in the other person's story that it may take over a year for the other person to get there (that's happened multiple times. Often combined with the issue above)
c) Crossover with a story that shares no thematically similar elements (ex. Super Sentai, Warhammer 40k, and Halo don't mix. [this has happened before])
d) Crossover with anyone that does not have a planned endgame or is even teasing the idea of doing a reboot because then your story is irrevocably connected to a limb that can go septic and eventually necrotic at any moment. (If I had a nickel....)
I'd kinda lean towards 'yes', I'm rather liking your character so far and I've seen to many good stories die or become warped during those.

4367277 Anytime. Keep my suggestion in mind to contact any of the authors that you want to work with in regards to the Displaced I suggested as that's simple for any potential crossover. And if you all need help with ideas, feel free to bring me into a chat to discuss them and offer ideas of my own. :) Either way this shall be fun later.
