Reaction Chapter 9 Update · 5:14pm Dec 28th, 2016
Well, everybody, I have news to share about the next chapter of Reaction. Two things, really. I promise there won't be spoilers, although I will be talking about one of the scenes that I currently have included in the chapter- a scene that may not make it to the final version. More information below the break.
First, I regret to inform you that I appear to be getting sick. I'm coughing and didn't sleep all that well last night. It seems like this time of the year is always one that's conducive to sickness. And unfortunately, I'm only halfway done with Chapter 9, so I may miss my self-imposed biweekly update deadline... again. However, there is still the chance that I may power through this sickness and manage to pump out a chapter, and I could always recover swiftly. There's also the chance that it's simply because there's not enough humidity in the air.
Second... The scene I'm going to talk about. First, this scene was originally supposed to be in chapter... six or seven, if I remember correctly. The scene is perfectly safe for work, although it does make me a bit uncomfortable. Remember back when I wrote the scene of Twilight taking a bath? It's sort of an add on to that, but the scene wasn't an extension or alternate take on that, it was set after that. The scene involves Rainbow helping Twilight take a bath. It's completely safe and shouldn't warrant a new tab, let alone a bump in rating. I'm still on the edge about adding it, however. I'm not sure if the scene is actually vital to the development of the story or their relationship, but I think it adds to the story.
If I take that scene out, then the chapter will take longer to reach the Saturday deadline, and with my sickness, it's unlikely I'd reach it, although I'd still work on it in an attempt to get the chapter out next Saturday, along with Chapter 10 the following Saturday. Whether or not that happens right now is up in the air, I'm afraid.
Any feedback on the scene or suggestions involving it are welcome. I may not reply to any comments any of you may or may not make (and if you don't comment I definitely will not reply), but I will read them. I always enjoy seeing your thoughts.
