Out with the holidays, in with the New Year.

Yes, it's that time of year again. The time we say farewell to the times of merry making with friends and family, of seeking ourselves through spirituality, of bickering with strangers and loved ones alike. It's time we enter those days of anticipation before the New Year.

This is a time of reflecting back on the year we've had; the good and the bad. And I won't lie... this year has been tumultuous to day the least. Especially leading up to the end. That goes not only for the Americans; but for the innocent people stuck between two warring parties they have no claim in. To them and all others, I'd like to offer my deepest condolences. It's dreadful that anger and hate still dominate others... but I'm grateful that I know many here, many through the entire world foster love in their hearts even in these difficult times.

But, please, enough with all of that doom and gloom. It may seem empty, but next year will be better. We can all make an effort to make it that way. I know we can.

I for one am tired of resting on my laurels. A group of people I respect dearly have returned despite the hurdles they had and still have to overcome. And so should I. So WILL I. Everything I've promised... everything I planned... I'll do it. This year, I'll make good on everything and return to gloriously dumb form. I hope to see you all along the way. And I hope to see you all out your all into this year.
