R.I.P. 2NE1

So, a couple weeks ago South Korean Girl Group 2NE1 disbanded.

And I fucking bawled man.

Like clutching my vocaloid plushies as I laid in bed listening to 'MISSING YOU' on endless loop.

I kinda felt it coming though, back in 2014 the eldest member, Park Bom, ended up getting caught up in a drug scandal. And by drug scandal I mean, she brought an antidepressant legal in America to South Korea, where it was illegal.

BUT SHE DID THIS YEARS AGO!

And Knetziens, which are some of the most critical Kpop fans, shunned her horribly. They forced her into a never ending hiatus and pushed her out of the reality show she was on, making her name lower than dirt. To protect Bommie and the other girls of 2NE1 YG Entertainment, the same people who manage and produce PSY, had her go into hiding.

Like. She was ghosting hella hard. No one saw here in public, she wasn't on social media, nothing. She couldn't even preform at the year end SBS Inkigayo awards, the other girls had to go on without her.

YG put the group on hiatus, deciding that focusing on CL. They had promised her US debut and now they had the time to do it. With the group on pause, 2NE1's leader began working towards her debut at the end of 2015.

The members were mostly silent, CL focusing on her solo career, Dara getting back into modeling and acting,and Minji working hard in school! Then at MAMA 2015, they came back! With the Corn Queen herself, Park Bom!! Their performance soon became the most viewed MAMA performance as BlackJacks poured in their support for the Kpop Queens!

Everything was looking up! 2016 was going to be the year of 2NE1, the Queens would return!

But then...

In May 2016, Minji left the group, deciding not to renew her contract with YG and pursue a solo career with Music Works. At first BlackJacks were sad, yet committed to stand by the little baby Minjikki. But then when her 'friends' began to say some... Not so flattering things about YG, causing BlackJacks to turn on Minjikki, calling her a slew of rude things, and leaving a snake on all of her posts.

She ended up falling off of social media, focusing on her solo career and hiding from her haters.

Then we got the news 2NE1 would be coming back in the summer as a trio! This was going to be a summer where BlackJacks would be "Falling In Love again!!" Heck! Bommie was even slowly rejoining social media!

News on 2NE1's comeback was nonexistent but CL finally debuted in 2016, coming out with "Lifted"! Which was a pretty boss song! She even announced her " Hello Bitches!" US tour!

Then... A couple weeks ago, all the girls fell silent, with no updates from any of them along. Finally YG announced it...

The "Queens" of Kpop were disbanding, 2NE1 was over.

AND SO HERE I AM.

CRYING.

PLAYING 2NE1 SONGS ON REPEAT.

NOT TO MENTION BIGBANG IS GOING TO GO ON A HIATUS OR SMTHNING IN 2017 WHEN T.O.P.JOINS THE MILITARY.

SO FAR 2017 IS NOT LOOKING SO GOOD.
