5 Darkest Moments in MLP

So after re-watching a few seasons of MLP I realized that there are a lot of moments that was incredibly dark in one way or another, almost to the point of disturbing for the target audience of the show.

So out of boredom and a break from writing (it's good to be back to writing), i'm just gonna throw down what I think is the darkest moments of the entire series.

Runner Ups: Season 5 Finale (Sombra's Future, Chrysalis' future, Flim/Flam future), Season 3 Finale, Season 5 opener.

5.) Twilight vs. Tirek (Season 4 Finale "Twilight's Kingdom Pt. 2")

While it was an awesome fight and still one of the best moments of the serious, the stakes of the battle made it horrifying. If Twilight lost to Tirek in the fight instead of the bribe for power at the end, it would have been bye-bye Equestria, with Twilight laying dead on the ground at his feet. It's a horrific thought to imagine Tirek to be trampling over Book Horse's body. Ugh.

4.) Wasteland Future (Season 5 Finale "The Cutie Re-Mark Pt.2")

Another horrifying look into the potential futures that Starlight messing with the timeline would have caused. This one however, has darker connotations. With all the others there was something, no matter how bad it was something was there and ponies still lived. However, this one doesn't have evil villains controlling everything or ponies living as slaves. It has nothing. No life at all. Everyone you know and love in this show is dead.

3.) Changelings screwing with Discord (Season 6 Finale "To Where and Back Again Pt. 2")

There isn't much to say with this one but changelings know hove to completely destroy someone mentally. Once Discord saw the mass of other Fluttershys, his mind went from his chipper cocky self to an area of self doubt. We all know Discord is in love with Shy and having to try and pick out one possible pony in a sea of changelings is terrifying. It's hitting him at his most vulnerable and it's probably the first time that a character experienced true existential horror.

2.) Trixie eaten alive (Season 6 Finale "To Where and Back Again Pt. 2")

Literally Trixie was eaten alive there. Those were the sounds of a pony being devoured after sacrificing herself. Once again, pony death isn't good but LITERALLY BEING EATEN ALIVE IS WHAT THOSE SOUNDS WERE! WTF MLP!

1.) Trixie attempting suicide (Season 6, Ep. 6 "No Second Prances")

While we definitely knew she was going to survive her trick and there was really no risk to her, it was the fact that she decided to continue with the potentially deadly trick that made it have this spot. She mentioned earlier in the episode with the way that this trick is set up and performed, she really couldn't pull it off by herself. Without Starlight's help, the trick would fail and she would be eaten alive. The fact that she has the mono-toned voice, the expressionless stare and then practically BEGS for Starlight to save her as the cannon is about to fire. That's not just a depressed pony attempting a trick....that's a pony about to let herself die. She was going to let it happen, and effectively kill herself.

That's just.....whoa....i can't even...
