Found out the other day that apparently you can publish your books and stories to iBooks without a publisher and sell them. Starting to wonder if I should place Flutterheart up there (Free of charge, unless they require a price) for all you users who wish to take Flutterheart on the go. Your thoughts?
....well, I'm impartial to the idea.
Sure, it sounds great, but if not enough people are interested in it.... then there's no point in the effort.
I'd see how things go first, of course, eheh. But, I'd be interested... if I only have a capable device, of course....
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO IT!!!!
I have no idea how ibooks even works, so I'll be sure to check after I go back and look for errors first.
About creating eBooks - why don't you do it yourself? All the necessary software is free
1) Download Sigil to typeset your book. A tutorial on using Sigil should be rather useful to you :).
2) Download Callibre to preview the eBook.
I think that's all there is to it :). Unfortunately I do not own a reader to test this, but a 30 seconds tryout of Sigil shows it can generate ePub that Callibre reads without problems. If Callibre reads it, it should be OK with most readers :).
remember to copyright thou's work just in case it is copied lol
Just for everyones info fimfiction.net let's you download any story in epub format which you can read with ibooks. I know thats how I read everything. Hope this helps! =)
I'd say go for it to keep that shit safe in the case ACTA decides that the internet should die, at least apple would keep rights and whatnot.
Here's how I'd look at it, you basically have nothing to lose and it could potentially be a good learning experience. And if you happen to get more fans, all the better. I say go for it!
You should defiantly upload it,
Problem is, I'll have to edit it. That's not the problem. The problem is, I'm sure it can be better. I want to sort of beef up the story, but I'm not sure how much will kill it.
