I have been watching the show since 2012, following the fandom for just as long and I am now wanting to add what I have to it.

    New Pursuit

Hello to those that are reading; by now you might've noticed I put the two stories I've been working on on hiatus. The reason for this is because I've, currently, lost my desire to write and instead began to nurture my desire to draw. I struggle with words, both writing and speaking and for the longest time I believed writing would be an outlet I could use to get my thoughts and feelings across

Holiday Greetings, Everyone!

Wow. My first blog, like EVER. Don't underestimate the power pony.
Anyway, at the time of this posting, it's Christmas time and I find myself thinking back on my life and the choices I've made that have led me here, to writing my first blog. You see, I was writing my Christmas story and decided to listen to a few brony made Christmas songs and parodies, from Aviator's brilliantly crafted original songs to Skybolts awesome parodies of classic Christmas carols, when I found myself on Black Gryph0n's channel, watching This Christmas Night, a music video that featured himself as well as VA's and singers from the My Little Pony show. (The best part was I watched it on the same day he uploaded it last year. Talk about timing! :rainbowwild:) After seeing that, I thought about my opinion of Mr. Gryph0n and how it has affected my life.

I'll admit, as happy for the guy as I am, it's hard not to be jealous and bitter towards him for his accomplishments. Luckily, those negative feeling flare ups are few and far between, and it got me thinking about how I got into My Little Pony and the people that have inspired me to do the things I never would have done otherwise. I first got interested in the show after watching two specific animations, Death Battle's Starscream vs Rainbow Dash, (So excited for Deadpool vs Pinkie Pie! :pinkiehappy: It's gonna be hilarious!) and the infamous Cupcakes. These two showed me that the show was more then I thought it was and lead me to find my first brony, Saberspark, and his video, Ballad of the Brony. After watching it and learning about what was happening, I had to watch the show and four years later I'm writing my first blog on a pony centric site.
The future is a funny place, isn't it?

During those four years, I have seen and heard a lot of what the fandom has created and been through. I had missed the Derpy Incident, which shocked me because, at the time, I was watching the show on Youtube and The Last Roundup I saw wasn't the edited one so I didn't know about it until I came across a Derpy song that sang about it. I was with the fandom through Princess Twilight, Equestria Girls, (I saw Rainbow Rocks in theatres, and am under the impression that the cast was in the theatre next to mine! :rainbowkiss:) when that silly Twilicane blewup and I intend to be with it long past season 7 and the release of the movie.
I kinda got a little sidetracked, back to Gryph0n. I remember seeing him on Bronies React as well as the songs he released. How can I not when they were almost always on the top of the top 10 brony songs of the month lists. He would also release collaborated music videos with Michelle Creber, (to this day, I still have no idea how they met) and was impressed that he was able to do that. But then he released his first album, IMmortal, which I bought as soon as it was released, and discovered something that literally blew me away.
One of the songs, Zero Gravity, featured Michelle.
Now, you're probably wondering, how could that be so mind blowing when they released the music video before the album? Being the introvert that I am, I place heavy emphases on the actions people do rather then what they say. So seeing a brony release a full album on iTunes featuring a voice actor from the show I loved showed me that maybe, just maybe, these awesome famous people weren't as unmeetable as I made them out to be.
Two weeks later, I moved to Vancouver to try my luck at voice acting.
This is the reason I have the greatest respect for Gabriel, Black Gryph0n, because he inspired me to chase my dream and in doing so, I was able to meet the awesome Maryke Hendrikse, voice actor for Gilda, Sonata Dusk, and Revy from Black Lagoon, Kazumi Evans, singing voice of Rarity as well as voice of Moondancer, Octavia, and the notorious Adagio Dazzle, and the most recent voice actor to join the Equestria Girls cast, Brian Doe, the voice of Timber Spruce. (I still smile like a fool every time I see his name appear during the intro credits). I got to exchange emails with Cathy Weseluck and had a tweet replied by Tabitha St. Germain!
I owe that entire experience to Gabriel Brown, the Black Gryph0n.

But the best feeling of pride for anyone in the fandom, not because I know them personally, because I don't, that I have for are the sister's of Ink Potts. You see, they uploaded their first animatic, This is the Moment, the same year I joined the fandom and I have been there every time they released their newest video, seeing them improve with each one, until they went on a hiatus that would put the show to shame, to focus on their talents. And then, on December 1st 2016, they released their latest animatic, I Know Those Eyes/This Man is Dead, after two long years.
Watching it was the second time I was blown away.
The improvement of their talents was apparent after the first ten seconds! I was so amazed at how much they grew as artists that the pride I felt for them inspired me to create my account on FIMfction and try my hand at writing stories that have lingered in my mind since watching the show.

My Little Pony, Saberspark, Gabriel, Maryke, Brian, Inkpotts. This line of inspiration through the past four years have affected me in only the best ways, pushing me to try, to do things for myself, and because of them, I have experience things and met people I thought I could only do in my dreams. I may not be in my life where I would like to be at this moment and that's fine, because I will always have the memories and videos of the people and experiences with me, forever.

Thank you for reading.
You are Awesome!
