Throughout the years Equestria has seen countless creatures rise up to accomplish extraordinary feats. Ranging from ruling a nation for hundreds of years, saving the lives of millions on a weekly bases, and becoming the most powerful creature in all the lands, to more simple ones like reaching flight speeds that causes an explosion of color in the sky, prove to others that strength of body alone does not make a great leader, and show that even a lowly subject of a cruel queen could rise to become a just king.
In a world such as this the Lord of Chaos, Discord ponders a question that has occupied his thoughts. Besides himself, who is the most powerful creature in the world? With a snap of his fingers and a grin on his face, the mischievous draconequus decides to find out.

The Aether. A dark place where the most vile of creature is sent to once their mortal bodies parish. Limbo. A space in between where time itself holds no power over those who are trapped. Within these two realms lies a shadow, forever imprisoned with no hope of escape. However, forever is a long time. A lot can happen.

Canterlot High is no stranger to new students appearing out of no where, but this newest student has caught the attention of Sunset Shimmer. Guarded more so then any new student would be, Sunset seeks to know more about this Crimson Cloud and what wounds he might be hiding behind his pained eyes. As she slowly brakes down Clouds defences, Sunset begins to discover something even more surprising…could she be falling in love with him?

Meanwhile, Adagio Dazzle is acting like the modern day Ebenezer Scrooge, right down to a visit from a 'Christmas Conscience'. Strangers from another world living among humans whether by choice or not might just have want the other one needs in order to truly celebrate.
