My word choice in this chapter is very well thought out, not one sentence is just 'thrown in', it has to be perfect

Another author that likes to foreshadow? I'll have to keep that in mind as I read. I also love foreshadowing, there's a fair bit in my story. From things in the prologue foreshadowing events all the way to chapter 13, and so on.

I love to see if readers are really paying attention.

Unfourtunately I haven't read that one yet and here's why. Bucket list = death = sadness = me being depressed, my alternate me comes out, and all I think about is death, darkness, and destuction... so yeah.
I'm being serious, I have nothing aginst your writing or CBL I just can't really handle sadness all that well, at least not from stories.
