I remember reading a story quite some time ago by shortskirtsandexplosions that heavily implied that Derpy couldn't hear. For some reason, I flashed back to this idea and decided I wanted to rework a very old idea to perhaps incorporate that. So I wanted to know if the idea of deaf Derpy made sense to anyone else. Maybe even partially deaf or hard of hearing. It could explain her lisp or whatever you wanna call it. Tell me what you think, guys.
Well, I'm not against the idea. I mean, she seems pretty capable of hearing in the show... just not executing what she's told properly.
But I guess you could attribute her derpiness to her inability to hear well, hence you say, "Bring me that box," and she walks up to you with a fox in her arms instead...
