I'm an asshole.
Shocking, yes?
Though slightly less of one IRL, most of my online friends know this, and get along with me fine.
As you know, a few days ago I announced in a blog, my intentions to unfollow anyone who brought viral, non-satirical political content to this site. Well, that didn't sit too well with one user. Long story short, he demanded an apology before he spoke to me again, and I remained silent for three days (I work 14-hour shifts, sue me), then we argued on Skype for about an hour last night, where I apologized for taking out a particularly bad day on him, for having an earlier comment of mine misconstrued (yes, this entire thing was about ONE <30 word comment), and when Internet Shit happens, Internet Friends usually kiss and make up.
When he didn't accept any of them (don't really know what kind of apology he was looking for, maybe the 'getting down on my digital knees and grovelling' kind), he said this, and I quote:
If you want to patch things up sometime in the future, make an alt on fimfiction and send me a private message.
In other words: "Violate Fimfiction's Terms of Service by making an alternate account to bypass a block."
Suffice to say, I won't be patching anything up. There's really only one reason to block someone on here: To prevent spam and harassment.
If he really thinks, that after three years, that that's the kind of person I am, then maybe he didn't get it at all.
I'm an asshole. I'm not a harassing asshole.

Eh, some people take stuff personal and are willing to kill a friendship over a disagreement.
The 'prove you want to be my friend' crap is tiresome and petty. Friends forgive and move on.
How dare you exercise your right to unfollow someone because you don't like the kind of content they post! Even worse you warned people you were tired of it!
