Wow, it feels like forever since I've done this! Hi there, everypony! Discord here! I narrate The RED Cataclysm, in case you didn't know. And guess what? The author, Conchshell, is finally letting me write another blog post! Wheeee! I love typing! You know, between you and me, I don't know why Conchshell was so upset earlier. I'm the god of chaos, after all. If he didn't want his father to die of brain cancer, all he had to do was ask. That reminds me, does anypony in the audience know what the phrase "Faustian deal" means?

But oh dear, I'm getting sidetracked already! Okay, Conchshell had a message he wanted me to share with you. Here it is. For a while now, Conchshell's been seeking the advice of various editors on Ponychan. Specifically, those editors were... oh, what were their names? Paper_mate_pony, Khakispony and his friend Seidio, and a guy named Tactical, I think. They gave him advice on Chapter 1, Chapter 2 and Chapter 2, respectively. But Conchshell got to thinking lately. Keep this under your hats, but... it turns out, he only had five chapters written up. That's how he was able to update so regularly before... all this happened.

But here's the thing. Writing is a process. Conchshell has to write up Chapter Six and everything that comes after that. Plus, like he mentioned here, he's got some other things to do. Like his original story that he's going to try and get published one day, or his other pony-related story, or the daunting task of working through his vast library of Steam games. So going back to edit previously published chapters? Well, apparently that's one little step too far.

So what does this mean for you, the audience? Well, Conchshell isn't going to be submitting his chapters to Ponychan to get them edited any more. He's going to write based on what's on Ponychan until he finishes the story. And once he's done that, if he's been a good little author, he'll start submitting to Ponychan and getting edits done so he can hopefully get on Equestria Daily. So because of that, you can probably expect the next few chapters of Cataclysm a little bit earlier than Conchshell was going to be able to get them done previously. Probably. On the other hoof, Conchshell did just apply for a real-world job, so maybe not. But oh well. We still appreciate all your feedback, by the way, so don't let this discourage you from giving us some critical love. Thanks!
