Maybe while Link meets the Princess, the guards could hunt down the griffon thief and bring her to trial and curse Link out?
I wondered why there was no new chapters for the story, and now I know why.
Perhaps Celestia doesn't fully believe that Link is the ancient hero since there have been a few individuals in the past thousand years claiming they are, she then asks him to find the thief, and once captured, Celestia explains a little of what has happened, or what they think happened, in the past. Stories, myths and the such, but nothing concrete. Meanwhile the rest of the elements arrive, and those who didn't saw Link before are introduced to him.
Well mine might be a bit obvious and come later, but for the Master Sword, Link could hear a rumor about some kind of Grove in the middle of the Everfree forest that all of the dangerous creatures stay away from, and that there is some kind of weapon there.
