WWW: End of Part II, Information on Part III · 12:51pm Oct 19th, 2016
Hello again, friends! A few days ago, I published Chapter 26, thus marking the end of Part II of The World Within the Web. I've gotten a lot of great feedback from all of you over the course of publishing this large portion of the story, and I hope you all enjoyed reading it as much as I loved writing it. At any rate, I just had a few announcements to make regarding the end of this section and the imminent start of another.
First of all, similar to what happened in between Parts I and II, there will be a hiatus for the next few weeks prior to Part III starting. Some of you might be wondering why this might be. Well, the explanation is straightforward. I personally like to have most if not all of a Part finished prior to its first chapter being published. I find that writing each chapter on the fly doesn't work well for me, and if I switched to doing that there would be no way of guaranteeing a steady, consistent release schedule. So, to ensure that chapters are released with reliable regularity, I want to take the time to have Part III finished before I start putting out chapters.
I'll be honest: it will likely take longer to finish Part III than it did to complete previous portions of the story. This is less to do with the actual length of Part III than it is with the content of it - a lot of plot threads set up so far are colliding in near future, and keeping those details intact is tricky. A fair potion of Part III is already done, but there is a lot left to do, so I can't promise when it will be finished completely. If it starts to take too long, I might take a leaf out of the show's book and release one half of Part III, go on another brief break, then finish the rest. For now, however, rest assured that I'll be going through the rest of this as swiftly as I can.
At any rate, I think that there is a lot to look forward to in Part III - more mystery, new threats, troubling dilemmas, and some final answers as well. Between now and then, I'll likely be doing more blog posts about WWW, but keep a look out for Part III: The Beast in the Bay.
