Well, now.
My past week has certainly been exciting. Between life challenges and the sudden eruption of an idea in my evil little skull The Bridle Path went a whole three days without even so much as a glance. Three whole days of everything hanging in limbo. However, from that period of time came what has turned out to be my most popular story to date.
Thruster
An insane little tale of a pony using a bodily inserted device to fly at incredible speeds with. It has a like to dislike ratio of nearly 13 to 1, has nearly as many views as The Bridle Path AND was in the Popular Stories section for 2 days. Plus, on top of that heady peak came the comments. By all the gods, good and bad, what a strange, twisted, awesome group of folks commented on my story. The story idea that grew in those comments had me in tears of laughter. I have no, repeat no, intention of writing a sequel to Thruster. Whether it be "The Six Million Bit Mare" or the Star Trek: TNG crossover the comments inspired. But then again, I had no real intention of writing Thruster, and look what happened.
Also, the core chapter of Equestria, Destroyed has been put out. This is a shared world project between myself, Damaged, Cross Lament, Proper Noun and pretty much anyone else willing to join in with us. This is a dark alternate universe. A mysterious explosion has killed Luna and Celestia, Twilight was mortally wounded but is saved by Chrysalis who came investigating the explosion and found Twilight dying beneath Celestia's body. Said detonation fed on magic and blasted its way across Equestria, killing anyone who was unable to take shelter and tainting the natural flows of magic with a terrible taint.
Friendship no longer rules in Equestria. Survival based on mutual co-operation does.
Recommendation"
Return: Tales of the Lost - I just started this and I have to say I like it.
Join me and my crazy co-horts over on Discord. Just be aware that we are all crazy and the chat should be considered NSFW at the drop of a hat. Any hat.
Well, to be fair to The Bridle Path, it has 3978 total views, a lot more than Thruster.
