Legend of Everfree

So, saw the new Equestria Girls movie and I have to say that it isn't too bad. Still it does have the occasional bit that just feels off but that's nothing new.
*Spoilerifics below*

So, technically seven elements in the new world? Wonder what they will declare the seventh as in the next movie. Also as neat as the magic was, Sunset's really felt off-the-wall and just a macguffin for the movie while all the others matched up with their pony counterparts. Even Rarity and Pinkie's make sense in a way even if they are something their counterparts have never done before.

Secondly... well I guess it's not totally unusual for a camper to have a crush on the camp leaders but what is odd, and creepy, is for them to reciprocate it. Expect nothing to come from it in the future movies without it being horribly shoehorned in.

Now on the whole Equestrian magic, something really seems wrong with it as it is too often turning people evil even when they don't deserve it, like with Twilight. Speaking of, there seems to be a trend going on with the villains. Sunset of fire, Dazzlings of air/sound, Twight of magic, and now we have earth/plant-based power. Wonder if the seven's little trinkets will be based on something like that, especially since Sunset got the red gem which was the color for loyalty.

Also going back to Sunset, why is she, a unicorn, given touch-based powers without getting access to her normal unicorn type? Considering the magic changes every movie it wouldn't surprise me that she loses her touch-based power for something more fitting. Of course her unicornness could be detrimental to her learning the new kind so I could see things being fine there for now.

Now with Filthy Rich... He is a complete dick and I wonder what his wife is like in this universe. On the other side he didn't seem so bad the one real time he showed up and his only flaw was letting his family go like they did. His only role was to get the ball rolling to cause the incident yet he never shows up again even at the end.

Also as the last bit, why would Snips/Snails be there but not DT, SS, or the CMC? Felt like a lost opportunity for some hilarity in the background which Derpy took up all of.

Also also, I'm not sure what the name of the green-haired girl with the beret is, but my mind keeps wanting to call her Skitch Sketch. I blame the author of that story. Maybe there are some other OCs that snuck in somewhere.

Edit: Wonder if the pun was intentional of the getting their dock smacked around all the time?
