Making a Pokemon story... STARRING YOU!! [RESULTS] [SOME SLOTS STILL OPEN] · 8:22pm Oct 1st, 2016
Thank you all who submitted their character sheets in last week to try and join in on the story! As with most things like this, I couldn't choose all of you to be in the story (even though I would very much like to) due to the risk of there being too many characters. However, I would like to take this time to remind you that if you didn't get the spot you wanted, you are always allowed to try again for a different spot next week.
That having been said, here are the results!
Protagonist 2:
"the saiyan brony"
Name: Nova
Partner: Typhlosion "Link"
Sexuality: straight
Gender: Male
Appearance: dark brown hair, dark green eyes, occasional trainer's cap, sapphire blue tee shirt, keeps a hoodie in his backpack for cold areas, blue jeans, and work boots. Speaks with a southern accent.
Personality: fun loving but serious when the situation demands it. Shows a soft side to Pokémon. Is fiercely protective of those he cares about.
Background: Nova hails from the small town of New Bark, with the dream of taking on the Pokémon League challenge in each region. He received Typhlosion from Professor Elm when he was still a Cyndiquil. Named him after the star of his favorite video game series.
Deuteragonist 1:
"The Lutece twins"
Name: James
Partner: A Lucario named Ryu and A Zoroark named Shadow
Sexuality: straight.
Gender: Male
Appearance: Messy blue hair that sticks up a little bit, wears glasses to see, jeans, a green shirt under a blue jacket, tennis shoes.
Personality: The type of guy who's sort of a clutz, but still gets things done one way or another. He does get angered quite easily, but has been getting over that.
Background: James was born in Coumarine City. Over the years in school, he was picked on for wearing glasses and had his nose stuck in a book. He got a riolu as his first Pokemon after rescuing it from drowning in the ocean. He's travels the region, taking notes on the different Pokemon he's encountered. He's just a simple guy who want to be a professor in the future. Along his journey, he saved a zorua from a pack of gang members who were mistreating it, even though james did get some injuries saving the zorua. So he and his Pokemon explore the region recording any and all Pokemon he's seen.
Deuteragonist 2:
"Marwile"
Name: Marvin
Partner: Braviary "Bravy" (or it could start as Rufflet and evolve later)
Sexuality: straight
Gender: Male
Appearence: dark-blonde short hair, blue eyes, glasses, black cap with pokeball motif, blue zip-hoodie (usually open and hood down), t-shirt (you can decide the motif), jeans, backpack,
Personality: Smart, but with a few insecurities (which like to come out when he's alone),usually doesn't know how to start conversations, but if he gets into one he can go full nerd-mode and talk like a waterfall until you sometimes have to stop him, a bit shy, which is why he rather supports others and follows them than standing in the spotlight himself, enjoys the company of others and Pokemon, but sometimes needs a bit alone time, also can't make decisions and doesn't get along well with too much pressure and stress, really bad at naming (if you couldn't tell already)
Background: Not very special to be honest, loving mother, a younger sister who is basically the exact opposite of him (social butterfly), of course they clashed sometimes (read: often) bur nothing major, because of his rather introverted personality he didn't have many friends, decided (after some self-persuasion) to go on the journey to learn more about pokémon and maybe overcome some of his insecurities
Deuteragonist 3:
"F4D3"
Name: Dami
Partner: Gastly(Gengar)
Sexuality: Pansexual
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Dami has long, purple hair which tends to cover one eye, along with a dark purple tinge to her eye color. During most formal events and battles, such as contests, gym battles, and the pokemon league, Dami will wear black dresses, often showing off a bit of skin. When out of competitions, she tends to wear more conservative clothing, opting for a simple skirt and top, favoring darker colors(think gladion) with designs that compliment her gengar. She may even put her hair up in a ponytail if she happens to be travelling.
Personality:
Dami is cool and collected often, much like Cynthia. She can also be much of a flirt to close friends, though if ever prompted with a date, she often relents, saying she'll wait to find the perfect match. She is very particular, often requiring her pokemon to both exemplify grace as well as the sinister ferocity ghost types are often known for. Whether in a contest or a battle, her motto is always the same: "Shock and amaze,"
Background:
Dami is a mysterious woman, confiding in very few people. She will, however, respect the strength of her opponents, and act accordingly in a competition. Often times she can be seen in graveyards, perhaps searching for more ghost pokemon to bolster her team, or perhaps there's something more? As mentioned before, she has an affinity for ghost types, but isn't against using other pokemon types as well, in order to keep her opponents on her toes. she loves beautiful pokemon, like Frostlass, but also respects the fear that pokemon like Dusknoir and Shedinja command.
Tritagonist 1:
"42Herooftime"
Name: John ( answers to Johnny or "you with the face" as well)
Partner: Umbreon ( starting at Eevee)
Sexuality: Straight
Gender: male
Appearance: 24 year old male, blue eyes, light brown hair, 6' 2", 250 lbs of muscle bone, barely any fat on him. He usually wears a t-shirt 2x his size, and extra long shorts that go past his knees for casual wear. His travel cloths consist of a pair of loose jeans and a belt with a T-shirt and sports jacket with hiking boots and a red beret.
Personality: John is not very social, but isn't shy. He can be outgoing and loves to talk about breeding pokemon. He primary focuses on Eevee breeding, but wants to know about all types of pokemon breeding. He doesn't tolerate theft or lying, and believes honesty is the best policy. He cares for his friends and goes out of his way to help them, and even if he can't get immediate results, still trys to aid them. He is kind, but often lets himself be taken advantage of. But his loyalty is unwavering.
Background: John came from a working class family. His father was the head manager at a machine shop near his home, and his mother taught at the local middle school. He has two sets of twin siblings ( 2 brothers age 12, and 2 sisters age 10, and tries to help his parents raise them. He was ridiculed through school for being "fluffy" and it drove him to seek ways to loose the flab. By his senior year in high school, he was 250lbs and had a well developed physique. He graduated high school and went on to study pokemon and decided to become a breeder, and started traveling to various parts of the world. On one of his first journeys, he encountered a baby female eevee trapped in a thorny bush in a forest. He freed the eevee, and it followed him all the way to inn he was staying at. The pair bonded and became inseparable.
Tritagonist 2:
"Navieka"
Name: Navieka G. Ashur
Partner: Aegislash, Male (Enkidu)
Sexuality: Straight
Gender: Male
Appearance:
A tall, somewhat scrawny, and tanish man with green eyes and unkempt curly hair, just long enough that they could be mistaken for a girl. He wears a plain green T-shirt, pale khaki pants and has an brown adventurer's fedora hanging on his back. He wears a brown computer bag that holds his gear inside, and pouches on the outside for his pokemon.
Personality:
A generally nice individual who, despite being constantly tired, tries to stay upbeat whenever possible. He is known to have a very dry sense of humor, and tries not to make jokes, though he makes them unconsciously. His hobbies are tinkering with items, fencing and rotom-hunting. His dream is to find other weapon-like pokemon. He does not hate rotom, but see's the power of what they could do and thinks that they may hold the key to find other weapon pokemon.
Background:
Growing up with tales of Knights and Kings, Navieka was enthralled with sword fighting. He spent several years learning how to fence, but curbed his interest to a hobby as he grew up. He started to learn technology and wanted to learn how things worked, so he went from city to city, trying to learn how things worked. During one of his trips, he encountered a Honedge. They did battle, and Navieka eventually caught him. Navieka named him Enkidu, and became friends. This rekindled his spark for swordplay, and after running into several rotom, he had an idea: He would search for other weapon pokemon and see if he could find other shapes, like spears or hammers. He then set out into the world to achieve his goal. During this journey Enkidu evolved into Aegislash, and he modifies his pokegear so he can find the pokemon he's looking for a bit quicker.
Tertiary Antagonist 1:
"Lord Hater" (name varies)
Name: Adri
Partner: Krookodile (nickname: Rocky)
Sexuality: Bisexual
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Wears an outfit similar to this, with tall black boots and a short ponytail. Has dark violet hair (which is most likely dyed) and a little blue bow around her ponytail.
Personality:
Carefree and goofy with a fondess for destruction, which often causes her to oversee the consequences of being, well, a bit of a jerk. However, she isn't as innocent and oblivious as one may think - she's definitly aware that she could kill people and Pokemon in her insanity. She's also a bit flirty with whomever.
Secondary Antagonist 1:
"pokefreak13"
Name: Stephanie
Partner: Espeon (Lulu)
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Gender: Female
Appearance: Black hair in a ponytail, hazelnut color eyes, light brown skin, 5'3, wears black shorts to knees, tan sandals, red tank top, open brown vest.
Personality: loyal, and a quick thinker, Stephanie likes to observe her opponent before attacking. However, she is also stubborn and prone to trying to do everything herself, causing her to exhaust herself easily.
Background: When she was little, she lost her friend to Darkrai. Desperate to save her best friend Matt, Stephanie joined (Evil team name here) because the boss promised to help bring her friend back.
Now, notice that the Secondary Antagonist slots are back? I've done a bit of editing to the chart after much, much consideration and ow there are a few more slots open to enter yourself into if you weren't chosen as one of the characters in the story. The list is provided below:

If you want to reenter your character for the story, either edit your character slightly so they fit better into their slot or completely recreate your character. Also if it isn't too much to ask, be sure to tell those you know about this blog as well so, if they're interested, they can enter as well and I can have more options for choosing people. I know that's a selfish ask and you don't have to do it, but it would be greatly appreciated.

1. I will make sure of that. Laughing at everything? Well, maybe not. But I'll do my best to set your standards and make him very comfortable around those he sees as friends.
2. I didn't fix much stuff due to me being pressed for time. Now you have to live with the unsatisfying fact that you misspelled something you can't fix.
3. Less shy and more geeky. Got it! I think he'll be reserved around most people (not necessarily shy, just quiet) but open up those who have similar interests as him (like Staryu Wars and Doctor Whooper).

Personality:
Diabolical, the last thing this guy is. He's a villain that has no idea how to be anything more than a minor inconvenience but try's to with mixed results. Though with that and his somewhat bad luck along with his bad puns he is a good strategist that is surprisingly very honorable.
Background:
He does this because he wanted to get in the story damn it! Also something about the real villain offering him a Flygon/ Luxray-nite that doesn't exist. (At this time)
Role: Tertiary Antagonist

Name: Janette ( answers to Jane, or Green)
Partner: Sylveon (Saria)
Sexuality: straight
Gender: female
Appearance: Jane is 5'7" and has green hair done up in a ponytail. She has Blue eyes and wears glasses. She wears a white v-nevk top and long green skirt. (Sorta like a recolor of the X&Y high waisted outfit but with a slightly longer skirt)
Personality: Jane is not a social butterfly, almost the complete opposite in fact. She has a hard time building trust in others. But she is very loyal to her family and the few friends she had. She is very smart, but lacks certain aspects of common sense, and it makes seem goofy at times. She also has a slow sense of humor. But she is loyal to those she grows to trust.
Background: Jane grew up in the same town that the main protagonist grew up in. She lived there with her younger brother, mother, and her father who worked as an assistant in the nearest Pokémon center. Her life took a bad turn when her younger brother came down with an incurable disease that would leave him forever paralyzed from the waist down. Her brother always wanted to become the best trainer there was, so she set out to fullfil her brother's dream.
(She is supposed to be like a rival. Sylveon was chosen, because lets face it, that fairy ball of joy is cute.)
If not wanted as secondary or tertiary antagonist, she can fill the last of the tertiary protagonists

Sexuality: Straight (but Bi-curious)

Appearance:
Sue is a 6'4 feet tall well-toned young woman, with short ash grey messy hair and a brown skin. her eyes are azure blue.
She wears brown leather boots and violet overalls with nothing else underneath. For colderweather she has a pair of neon pink earmuffs.
Personality:
Sue is a calm, easy going and patient person who tries to be friendly to everyone. Even if not highly educated, is she quite witty and street smart.
She prefers to solve problems with conversation but knows when to act and if someone needs help or advice she will provide it. If she gets drunk she becomes really luste or even wolfish.
In battles she count on big strong pokemon and a thought out strategy.
Despiceing lonelyness she keeps Mittens out of his ball when possible, or even let herself carry by him if she feels lazy.
Backround:
Sue grew up in a small mountain village. Her family at home consists of her parents, grandparents and 9 younger sibilings. Following family traditions Sue had taken on the task to become a itemsmith. After the she had learned everything her grandfather knew, she desided to went into the world to learn more on her own about pokemon, to create the best battle items.
Her long journey and the many pokemon attackes she had expierenced, as only way to really lern about them, has made her into the strong, resilient and confident woman she is now.
