I'm proud to introduce you to another new album from Crescendo Hearts, a woman who could accurately describe herself as being EQUESTRIA'S BRIGHTEST SINGING STAR. Evidence of this is pretty much scattered around the album.
Crescendo Hearts was only a child during the Second World War, but she will remember that era in the history of the world for it was a time when she found her calling. It goes that she heard a lot of great singers, crooners, bands, etc., and that she was inspired to get into the music scene by having heard all these.
At the age of 15, while at Canterlot High, Crescendo was asked to perform in front of a large audience at Canterlot High. Scared by the prospects of doing so (yes, she had stage fright) Crescendo nonetheless overcame that and, on October 28, 1948, she went up there and sang for the crowd. Her performances that evening, from ones of songs as lively as ''Sunny-Side Up'' to ones of songs as beautiful as ''Body and Soul'', made her an instantaneous singing talent . . . one that, I guess you could say, showed itself at the right time.
At the age of 20, she made her first recording and it sold millions. She has been recording - and playing - in front of thousands without fear, ever since.
This album is kind of like that first concert: lively songs like ''Hello, Dolly!'' and ''Mame'' are combined with some beautiful choice songs like ''Strangers In The Night'' and ''Lara's Theme from Dr. Zhivago''—which we all know and enjoy as ''Somewhere My Love''—in what best creates an unforgettable listening experience. As I said earlier, this album is here to prove to you why Crescendo Hearts is EQUESTRIA'S BRIGHTEST SINGING STAR.

Are you lonesome tonight?
Do you miss me tonight?
Are you sorry we drifted apart?
Does your memory stray to a brighter sunny day
when I kissed you and called you sweetheart?
Do the chairs in your parlor seem empty and bare?
Do you gaze at your doorstep and picture me there?
Is your heart filled with pain? Shall I come back again?
Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?

Are you lonesome tonight?
Do you miss me tonight?
Are you sorry we drifted apart?
Does your memory stray to a brighter sunny day
when I kissed you and called you sweetheart?

Do the chairs in your parlor seem empty and bare?
Do you gaze at your doorstep and picture me there?
Is your heart filled with pain? Shall I come back again?
Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?

Somewhere, my love there will be songs to sing
Although the snow covers the hope of spring
Somewhere a hill blossoms in green and gold
And there are dreams all that your heart can hold

Someday we'll meet again my love
Someday whenever the spring breaks through

You'll come to me out of the long ago
Warm as the wind, soft as the kiss of snow
Lara my own, think of me now and then
God speed my love till you are mine again

Someday we'll meet again my love
Someday whenever the spring breaks through

You'll come to me out of the long ago
Warm as the wind soft as the kiss of snow
Till then my sweet think of me now and then
God speed my love 'til you are mine again!

Cold winds may blow over the icy sea
But I'll take with me
The warmth of Thee
A taste of honey,
A taste much sweeter than wine

He will return...He will return
He'll come back
for the honey and me

I leave behind
My heart to wear
And may it e'er remind you of
A taste of honey
A taste much sweeter than wine

He will return...He will return...
He'll come back
for the honey and me.

He will return...He will return...
He'll come back
for the honey and me.

Come lay by my side little darlin'
Come lay your cool hand on my brow
Promise me that you will always be
Nobody's darlin' but mine.

Nobody's darling but mine love
Be honest, be faithful, be kind
Promise me that you will never
Be nobody's darling but mine

You're as sweet as the flowers of springtime
You're as pure as the dew from the rose
And I'd rather be somebody's darlin'
Than a poor girl that nobody knows.

Nobody's darling but mine love
Be honest, be faithful, be kind
Promise me that you will never
Be nobody's darling but mine

Goodbye, goodbye little darling
I'm leaving this cold world behind
Promise me that you will never
Be nobody's darling but mine.

Nobody's darling but mine love
Be honest, be faithful, be kind
Promise me that you will never
Be nobody's darling but mine.

Hush hush, sweet Charlotte
Charlotte, don't you cry
Hush hush, sweet Charlotte
He'll love you till he dies

Oh, hold him darling
Please hold him tight
And brush the tear from your eye
You weep because you had a dream last night
You dreamed that he said goodbye

Hush hush, sweet Charlotte
Charlotte, don't you cry
Hush hush, sweet Charlotte
He'll love you till he dies

He held two roses within his hand
Two roses he gave to you
The red rose tells you of his passion
The white rose his love so true

Hush hush, sweet Charlotte
Charlotte, don't you cry
Hush hush, sweet Charlotte
He'll love you till he dies

And every night after he shall die
Yes every night when he's gone
The wind will sing to you this lullaby
Sweet Charlotte was loved by John

Hush hush, sweet Charlotte
Charlotte, don't you cry
Hush hush, sweet Charlotte
He'll love you till he dies

Hello, Dolly!
Well, Hello Dolly!
It's so nice to be back home where you belong
You're looking swell, Dolly
I can tell, Dolly
You're still glowin', you're still crowin'
You're still goin' strong
For the band's playin'
One of my old favorite songs from way back when
So bridge that gap, fellas
Find me an empty lap, fellas
Dolly'll never go away again!

More than the greatest love the world has known
This is the love that I give to you alone
More than the simple words I try to say
I only live to love you more each day.

More than you'll ever know
My arms long to hold you so
My life will be in your keeping
Waking, sleeping, laughing, weeping.

Longer than always is a long, long time
But far beyond forever, you'll be mine
I know I never lived before
And my heart is very sure
No one else could love you more.

More than the greatest love the world has known
This is the love that I give to you alone
More than the simple words I try to say
I only live to love you more each day.

More than you'll ever know
My arms got to hold you so
My life will be in your keeping
Waking, sleeping, laughing, weeping.

Longer than always is a long, long, long time
But far beyond forever, you'll be mine
I know I never lived before
And my heart is very sure
No one else could love you more.

I have often walked on this street before
But the pavement always stayed beneath my feet before
All at once am I several stories high
Knowing I'm on the street where you live

Are there lilac trees in the heart of town?
Can you hear a lark in any other part of town?
Does enchantment pour out of every door?
No, it's just on the street where you live

Oh, the towering feeling
Just to know somehow you are near
The overpowering feeling
That any second you may suddenly appear

People stop and stare, they don't bother me
For there's nowhere else on earth that I would rather be
Let the time go by, I won't care if I
Can be here on the street where you live

Strangers in the night
Exchanging glances
Wondering in the night
What were the chances
We'd be sharing love
Before the night was through?
Something in your eyes
Was so inviting
Something in your smile
Was so exciting
Something in my heart told me I must have you

Strangers in the night, two lonely people
We were strangers in the night
Up to the moment when we said our first hello
Little did we know
Love was just a glance away, a warm embracing dance away
And ever since that night
We've been together
Lovers at first sight
In love forever
It turned out so right
For strangers in the night

Love was just a glance away, a warm embracing dance away
Ever since that night
We've been together
Lovers at first sight
In love forever
It turned out so right
For strangers in the night.

The shadow of your smile
When you have gone
Will color all my dreams
And light the dawn

Look into my eyes my love and see
All the lovely things you are to me

Our wistful little star
It was far, too high
A teardrop kissed your lips
And so did I

Now when I remember spring
All the joys that love can bring
I will be remembering
The shadow of your smile.

You coax the blues right out of the horn, Mame
You charm the husk right off of the corn, Mame
You've got the banjos strummin' and plunkin' out a tune to beat the band
The whole plantation's hummin' since you brought Dixie back to Dixieland.

You make our cotton easy to pick, Mame
You give my old mint julep a kick, Mame
You make the old magnolia tree
blossom at the mention of your name.
You've made us feel alive again,
you've given us the drive again
to make the South revive again,
Mame.

You brought the cakewalk back into style, Mame
You make the weeping willow tree smile, Mame
Your skin is Dixie satin,
there's rebel in your manner and your speech
You may be from Manhattan,
but Georgia never had a sweeter peach.

You make our blackeyed peas and our grits, Mame
Seem like the bill of fare at the Ritz, Mame
You came, you saw, you conquered and absolutely nothing is the same.
Your special fascination'll
prove to be inspirational,
we think you're just sensational,
Mame...
Mame...
Mame!

Softly, I will leave you softly
For my heart would break if you should wake and see me go
So I leave you softly, long before you miss me
Long before your arms can beg me stay
For one more hour or one more day
After all the years, I can't bear the tears to fall
So, softly as I leave you there

Softly, I will leave you softly
For my heart would break if you should wake and see me go
So I leave you softly, long before you miss me
Long before your arms can beg me stay
For one more hour or one more day
After all the years, I can't bear the tears to fall
So, softly as I leave you there.

Softly, I will leave you softly
For my heart would break if you should wake and see me go
So I leave you softly, long before you miss me
Long before your arms can beg me stay
For one more hour or one more day
After all the years, I can't bear the tears to fall
So, softly as I leave you there.
So, softly as I leave you there.
So, softly as I leave you there.
So, softly as I leave you there.
