I've gotten off from six straight night shifts at the hospital I work at as a cardiac nurse. It was long, brutal, and I'm happy that it is done. I've also got a few days off and with the weather being it's gloomy, windy, and all around in-door Fall weather, I'm going to be spending a healthy amount of time on drawing and writing. Except, I don't know what to write.
Pony stories, clearly. To clarify, I don't know which ones to start on.
To give a brief update on ER251's status, editing has not commenced yet. Autumnschild is entering the busy part of the year for Amazon, and has a healthy amount of work that he is trying to get through in preparation for November. He will be able to get to Chapter 3 when he can, the job and life come first. Chapter 4 is already underway, and will be completed today (after I clean house). Much of Chapter 4 deals with re-introducing characters from ER250 that haven't appeared in ER251, yet. Much of it is written, it just needs to be organized and cleaned up. I might start work on Chapter 5, but I don't want to get too far ahead of Autumnschild in case something needs to be revised.
So in the mean time, I want to work on something else, I just don't know what and wanted some opinions. I was thinking of staying out of the one-shot stories just because those are extremely difficult for me to write and put together, but I'm not opposed to trying it. I'm nervous about giving too much details for fear of ideas being taken. I want to make this extremely clear too, these ideas are not up for adoption. I just need some help on deciding which story I should work on next. Maybe if things go well, another editor is found for the story (unless it is one Autumnschild has dibs on), then you could see a new story soon.
I've got a lot of shipping stories. AppleDash, RariDash, TwiDash, Rarilight, RariJack, and RariLuna. The RariLunas probably have the most done with them, there are actually one RariLuna, a RariNMM, and a NMMxNMR stories within that one. I don't know romance stories very well, and would need to do some research on writing them. Each one has some issues that I want to try and address in the story. For example, any Rarity ship, I think, needs to have the crush that Spike has on Rarity addressed, especially if it is a Rarilight. Another one I wanted to play with is what if a close friend disagrees with your life style choice. Out of all of these, I'm open to doing them in Anthro or Humanized (probably EG format).
The ones that involve Nightmares are longer and mixed with adventure. Not all of them are NMMxNM(Rarity). One version has Nightmare Moon still present after being hit by the Elements of Harmony, Luna is gone. Another has Luna dying and Nightmare Moon being resurrected to maintain balance. The final one is the Nightmare Moon alternate verse we saw at the end of season 5. That one might do the NMMxNMR pairing or be a RariDash. I'm not sure.
There are the three adventures. An airship, explore the world story. Which might use Flurry Hearts and be a future story, or something that takes place with the Mane 6 after season 3. The other one is my Applejack, western/steampunk story, partially inspire by the Re:Harmony story. That one is going to be a total AU, probably a Teen rating, pre-Elements of Harmony, sort of story. The other one involves Trixie making a career decision and becoming a royal guard.
There are two stories I'm doing for fun and for myself. Secrets and Silk deals with the underground network that keeps Equestria safe, and Twilight's secret bodyguard. Don't really know where I'm going with that one. And the other one is call Warden of the North which has Flurry Hearts and the descendants of the Mane 6 dealing with the "next" threat to the world.
Some stories I have in a storage area aren't actively being though about, but could become active. There is Pony X6 (working title), and it's a Daring Do origin's story (think like, A-team and Indiana Jones mixed together. The Cutiemark Issue would have been a pre-marked CMC story where Sweetie Belle gets her mark before the other CMC, and her life changes as a result. Clearly, it is more of a AU story. A PErsonal Request is the only one shot I think I could make. It's about Celestia getting a request from a filly to not have a cutiemark so she won;t have to grow up. And the last one is Exiled which has Celestia getting exiled from Equestria.
So which story, or stories, do you think I should work on next?

Well as we wait with joy for ER251 I have to say that Twilight's secret bodyguard title caught my eye and stuck in my mind the most.
Though as stated above something that peaks your interest and is fun for you to wright might be the way to go with how busy your life seems to be atm.
