Hey everyone, RainbowDasher21 here.
Sooo, as you may know, my new fanfic - Fluttershy's Secret - is now out. At the moment, only Chapter 1 is up (although I plan to get Chapter 2 published either Friday or Saturday).
Anyway, if any of you have read the blog which I posted a while ago (which talked about my story's plot and other stuff), I'm planning on including a OC (Original Character), a stallion who gets on with everyone, who happens to get a crush on Fluttershy. Of course, seeing as this is a Flutterdash (Fluttershy x Rainbow Dash) fanfic, problems are sure to be faced. This fella, however, needs a name.
I haven't been able to fully decide on one yet. So, basically, the whole point of this blog is me saying - have YOU got any ideas for names. Keep in mind it's a stallion character, so a mare name might not be such a good idea... I've been using this website (My Little Pony Name Generator) and found a few names that I like. However, I would like you lot to decide on what name is the best. Of course, any of your own suggestions are accepted.

Yep, Pony Name Generator. To be honest, I've only just known about it myself. But, it's good, since it gives you a bunch of name ideas for stallion, neutral and mare characters (which is great for those who don't know what to name their OC characters).

Awww, thanks for the compliment (about my story). I'm actually planning another Flutterdash story along with my current one. This new story is a crossover of Shadow The Hedgehog and MLP - titled 'All Hail Shadow'. The main plot of the story will be Shadow The Hedgehog joining forces with the Mane Six, after Eggman teams up with Discord to try and take over the world/universe. All while Dash is literally fighting for her own life (after suffering an incident which I haven't quite decided yet). This will of course deeply upset Fluttershy, and this will only make Shadow more determined to finish the Doctor's evil schemes, once and for all.
That story will probably have to rated M towards the end, but that's only because of the amount of violence and darkness that the story will plummet into.

4226083 Yes, Shadow was created, then put into some sort of canister (or whatever) for fifty years - before being released by Dr. Eggman to help him in taking over the world, leading to the events of Sonic Adventure 2.
Shadow is considered Sonic's new/main arch-rival (originally Knuckles, but he's more considered of a friendly-rival now).
As for music wise, does All Hail Shadow or I Am All Of Me suit him better? (sorry, just wondering on your thoughts. I posted links to the songs below your previous comment. I've currently went with All Hail Shadow, but thinking about how dark the plot does get around half-way through, it might call for I Am All Of Me instead).

Let me explain it to ya:
In Shadow The Hedgehog (the game), Shadow suffered from extremely serious amnesia (he virtually lost his whole memory). When an evil alien called Black Doom says that he can tell Shadow about his past, Shadow agrees to help him find the 7 Chaos Emeralds.
(SPOILERS BELOW!!!)
Anyway, it turns out that Black Doom only wanted Shadow to retrieve the emeralds so that he could destroy the world. Shadow, betrayed and in shock, vows to put an end to his evil schemes.
Even though he may not be entirely happy with having to work with Sonic, Dr. Eggman, Tails (and the rest of them), he understands that the whole world will be destroyed if he doesn't save it. And after stumbling upon a video from Dr. Gerald Robotnik (Eggman's grandfather) that states that Shadow was originally meant to be created as the Ultimate Lifeform (to protect the planet), Shadow, now realising his past, knows that he is the world's only hope. If it chooses to be his enemy, he will fight it. If it chooses to be his ally, he will help.
It's not exactly easy to explain, but I hope what I said makes sense.

4226124 Exactly. In the beginning of my story, Shadow tries to protect Fluttershy (he sees her crowded by some ponies, which seem to be being mean to her), but she panics, and tries to get away from him. Slightly annoyed that she's running off without thanking him, Shadow gives chase.
Eventually, Princess Celestia appears in front of him, and grabs him using her magic (from her horn). She takes him in for questioning, and is thrown into the dungeons (after refusing to give answers - typical Shadow). Fluttershy soon persuades Celestia to set him free, and although their relationship is... rocky, at first, Fluttershy begins to understand why Shadow is like he is, and then Shadow begins to notice how very similar she seems to be to Maria (his only true best friend, which were killed by G.U.N soldiers, prior to the events of Shadow The Hedgehog). Even worse, the Commander (leader of G.U.N) blames Shadow for her death, even though HE was the one who's men shot her. That's why Shadow doesn't trust others very well.

In Shadow The Hedgehog (the game), the story basically ends with Shadow (essentially) killing/defeating Black Doom, G.U.N (except from the Commander) finally forgiving Shadow and accepting that he wasn't their enemy, and Eggman is then chased away by Knuckles (for whatever reason).
In my story, Fluttershy shows Shadow around Ponyville, to which many eyes are drawn towards him. His evil snarl is more than enough to make them turn away though. That's when they stumble upon Rainbow Dash... Of course, Fluttershy (unsurprisingly) skips towards Rainbow Dash, while said pony flies into her and picks her up with her hooves, embracing a big hug. Of course, Shadow just watches with his arms crossed, not smiling.
I am thinking of having a rivalry between Shadow & Rainbow Dash, so I'll certainly think about what exactly sets their arguments off. However, I'm thinking of them finally putting their differences aside when Rainbow Dash suffers a tragic accident, leaving Fluttershy helpless and in tears, while Rainbow literally fights for her own life. It'll be up to Shadow to save her - he's her only hope....

4226172 Oh no no no, it's not like that at all. Shadow is not interested in a romantic relationship in any way (I don't think romance is a recognised word in Shadow's memory bank anyway). Besides, Fluttershy would choose Rainbow Dash over Shadow (or just anyone in general) any day (my current story [when finished] will make that clear). Of course, that's mostly down to because they've been best friends for so long. Also, because of the fact that Fluttershy trusts Rainbow Dash (which is also hard for Fluttershy to do).
What I meant by the rivalry is that Rainbow Dash doesn't particularly trust Shadow, hence why he doesn't like her at first. Around the climax of the story however, Shadow's opinion of Rainbow Dash begin to drastically change when he sees how strongly she means to Fluttershy. Of course, Rainbow Dash manages to find it in her heart to forgive Shadow for everything, and then her, Shadow, Fluttershy and the rest of the Mane Six work together to take down Eggman & Discord.
Shadow isn't really one for friends, but more than anything, Fluttershy just wants him to not hate her. However, as I mentioned before, because Fluttershy (somehow) reminds him so much of Maria, he seems to be alright with her. Fluttershy does really want to be friends with Shadow, but she's just scared that he won't want to be, and that he might hurt her or something.

The reason why Fluttershy wants to be friendly with Shadow is because she feels really sad (and bad for him) about his past. She understands that he's had a hard life, and she wants him to feel happier, rather than depressed (and somewhat beaten-up) by it all. Shadow understands why Fluttershy is trying so hard to make him feel better about himself (since she is the Element of Kindness after all), but deep down, Shadow believes that the world will never truly allow him to live in peace.
BTW, Eggcord. Lol, that's pretty funny.

4226215 Hello again. This is just a quick question (since I'm really unsure on what to do), but... do I need to use the Sex tag for this story?
Here's a bullet-pointed list of all the somewhat/slightly/could be considered highly suggestive stuff in the story (it's all in Chapter 2, but this will be the only chapter excluding the chapter before the epilogue [final chapter] to have any content like this):
1. At the beginning of the chapter (when Rainbow Dash meets Fluttershy at her parents' house), Shy goes up to the bathroom to 'relieve herself'. When Mrs. Shy pauses for a moment, Rainbow Dash hears a noise coming from upstairs - a noise of relief. Rainbow ponders 'Wonder what she's doing up there...', while her mind slips into some dirty thoughts. ...You probably can guess what those thoughts are I assume?
2. Just before Dash & Shy leave her parents' house, the cyan Pegasus says, "Maybe we can get there (the school) earlier, and have some 'private' time...", while she wiggles her eyebrows. Rainbow (at least to me) isn't actually suggesting anything extreme here, just some really passionate kissing perhaps (behind the back of the school?).
3. The final (and possibly the most suggestive of the three) thing: After Fluttershy gets embarrassed after Dash asks if Shy stroked mane while she asleep (while they're both in the train), Rainbow Dash says to Fluttershy, "You can do whatever you like to me Shy... whatever you please." Again, I assume that you can guess what Rainbow means.

I might as well point this out now, but.... Rainbow Dash & Fluttershy do NOT actually 'do it'. The (suggestive) stuff that is said within my story is just there to show us how much more 'mature' Rainbow's mind is about the relationship. Although, I'm pretty sure I read something in Ponies In Love (around Chapter 7-9 I think) where Rainbow was lying on Shy's bed in a certain position, and it goes to say that Fluttershy imagined Rainbow Dash led like that on her bed the night that they 'made love'... Essentially, Rainbow Dash has more frequent, but not too intense dirty thoughts, while Fluttershy has very few, but they're really intense (it's always the shy ones...
).
Just respond to me whenever you can. It's ok if you're unsure, it's just that I'm slightly nervous about it. But, I'm in no rush. So just reply whenever you can (and if you can).

Like I said, it's not a whole load of dirty thoughts in every chapter, it's just 3 within chapter 2 (and they'll probably be 1 or 2 in the second before last chapter). Also, as I said, it's only Rainbow Dash who we're seeing/reading as having the 'dirty' thoughts (though Ponies In Love makes it clear that Fluttershy is somewhat just as bad as the cyan Pegasus).
