I am rubbish at starting a blog post...
There, now that I've started it, let me actually use this feature properly. To be honest and very blunt, I made this post to ask my one-hundred and forty-two followers (A number I still can't believe) a question.
The support for my first story, The Fate of The Warchief, has been slowly growing, and my attempt at Clopfiction was fairly well received. Now, as most of you know, the last chapter of The Fate of The Warchief gave me the most technical trouble any chapter has ever given to me. While this next chapter, number fourteen, is not giving me technological problems, it is offering me a good deal of cross roads in the story arc that have left me feeling a bit too free. In short, I feel sort of lost and overwhelmed by it.
Now, here is where you (My followers) come in. I like having a second story to go to in order to write something other than my original story, such as my Clopfiction. I wanted to know if you guys would be alright with me starting a new story, to give me a different creation to write for. I don't really have any ideas for a new Clopfiction, (I have started and scrapped over a dozen of them, yet I can't seem to find one I like) so I had an idea to do another Crossover, of sorts. This time, rather than a protagonist originating from a video game or movie, it would a historical figure, a person who was once alive, and is now a chapter in a history book.
Now, I can't tell you who it will be, because I don't want to spoil anything, but I did want to know this: Would you all be alright with a new story? Or did you all want me to focus my effort on my current works?
Why not give some love to the other background ponies like linky/shoeshine? Mrs. Rich? Sweet and Salty was awesome and I'm pretty sure you can give the other ponies some much needed time in the spotlight.
Personally, I would not mind a new story at all! Just do what you feel like - sometimes you just want to write something else for a change. Do it. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what it'll be if you decide to go with it
4206423 My number one rule when writing a new story is to always write something new. I check as thoroughly as I can for anything similar to my new ideas before I begin them, so if I can write a new Clopfiction story, it will more likely than not be starting an under used character. Linky/Shoeshine I would have never thought of, but that is doable, but I don't think I could write Spoiled Rich very well.
