The Present
Very simple, dear friends! The latest installment of Letters From Ponyville is well on its way!! That is, barring any more scheduling disasters. I know about a month ago I promised this chapter within two weeks, and I deeply apologize for my tardiness. Punctuality is NOT my special talent. So instead of promising some obscure deadline, I'm going to say that it will be released by this Saturday at the earliest, which gives me a fallback plan to escape the horrifying guilt of potentially missing a deadline.
The Future
I've been meaning to do this for a while, but didn't really know how to go about it. Letters From Ponyville sort of began as a fly-by-night operation (this was waaaaaaaay back before I posted on FIMFiction, though, and it was just a dream on a Word Document). It was also originally planned for around ten chapters, but now there are a lot of fine ideas I've got in store! You can look for it to being closer to fifteen chapters (the main story arc is already inscribed on a stone tablet in Hollywood movie blood, but I might still add or drop a chapter if the need arises).
There have also been some questions about the story's nature: "If this is a slice-of-life fic, then why is it so sad/happy/romantic/etc. at such-and-such a part? Shouldn't you instead call it x?". My response is as follows: yes. It's an encompassing look at life from a window of time during Reason's move to in Ponyville, and life is complete with laughter, misfortune, tragedy, love, and everything in-between. It's neither. It's both. It's all the categories. It's life.
Beyond!
I got plans. BIG plans. Once Reason's tale is told... well, I've actually written the start of a number of things. I don't want to post them here just yet, since I won't be able to give them proper attention until after LFP is done, but would there be any interest in teasers or something? (Don't misunderstand what I mean, here: I don't mean that I get some sick thrill from showing incomplete works. The idea would be more to give ME feedback on future projects, and for YOU to have something to look forward to. We'll likely discuss this in more detail later; right now, I just want to get an idea of what people think of the concept.)
Sincerely,
FearlessXIII
Stay beautiful, folks!
...I think some people don't quite have a grasp on what "slice of life" means.
As for your question, teasers are welcome!
Yes! It's good to know your alive man. Can't wait to read more of your works!
