So me and Kat had a minor fight. I assumed she was in a bad mood and shrugged what she said off.
I get it. She wants to feel like she's not helpless, and so when I help her, she feels like I'm basically telling her she can't do it herself. 
I guess when you grow up with those who believe you're incapable of doing things, one wants to prove themselves.
Anyway, lately I wanted to talk to Kat. I heard she was at my friend's place because her mom was on a business trip for two weeks. I was a bit concerned though when I got there.....
Kat sat on the couch, withdrawn and silent, stifling a cough. She honestly didn't look too well in my opinion. Usually she keeps her hair well brushed.... But today it seemed like she didn't even bother. I wondered if she even slept last night, given her tired expression.
I asked if she was okay, and she shook her head no. My friend said earlier she actually had thrown up. She actually had skipped her daily workout today.
Now I have reason to be concerned. She doesn't ever skip that unless something is definitely not right. 
She sort of flinched as my friend felt her forehead.
"Honey, she's really warm...."
