as most laptops have the same requirements , now if it is a high end gamer that eats gobs of power that is a hole different best.
defiantly not time for a panic attack simply reach out and look for ideas as I am sure there is one local to you.
heck crag's list look for a dead laptop or just the charger look around a bit as I am betting it will pay of in the long run.
