Ah, not important. I apologize. I'll just get right into the noose news.
So, drama on Fimfiction occurred. You're probably wondering if it was the drama from the blog before the joke one.
Nope, not that one. Since I don't keep in touch with Fimfiction often, I just browse stories, look at the Writer's Group with utmost curiosity, and then head off to live life, watch my favorite streamer, and do osu and OSRS, my two favorite videogames to date.
Well, I heard about an incident--

I saw the incident here on Fimfiction after the whole thing went down. Seems like someone had an outburst. It really exploded on Fimfiction, didn't it?
Yikes, what a disaster! It involved a concept called downvotes, something that I'm not too foreign of either. In fact, downvotes are part of this site's worry: authors dread the red thumb when it appears on their stories. They also like to make threads about this topic within The Writer's Group, and then they groan when site admins, regular admins of TWG, and users of TWG hound on them for giving a shit about them.
Yeah, you folks really dislike dislikes.

So, dislikes are a form of communication. It tells the creator when something seems wrong with the content, or that the content itself is absolutely shit garbage.
But does a red thumb tell the whole story?
Sometimes. Those bastards might tell you that something is wrong, or that someone got upset with you as a person, and in an act of hopelessness, they downvote your content. You said something wrong? Shit, another one incoming. You threatened someone with a fork and cake? Now it's your dessert, full of rage, regret, and a red thumb impacting your lovely creation.
Yep, that's called being a content creator. You get opinions of the content and of the person who creates the content. My followers, you know this well. You tell me when my content is mediocre, when a scene sounds forced, when the story is progressing, or even when my content is good, but I will never let you see my content be removed due to downvotes.
I think I said this in the last few blogs, but my content was removed due to a third party trying to copy my work, and not only that, they tried to gain money off it.
I hope they enjoyed their time on Fanfiction; it was short lived.
Oh, and to the drama on Fimfiction, this is normal, to see downvotes happen as such. If you give attention to the downvotes, you get more of them.
So stop paying attention to the red thumbs. Only pay attention to criticism, no matter how it is worded.
Lastly, my heart goes out to Texas, China, and of course, my family. I hope everything quiets down soon.
Oh wait, that's life. I should just say I am hopeful for the future. Sounds good.
