On Frantic Wings · 10:51pm Sep 7th, 2012
Listen, all, and hear me well,
For a grisly tale I have to tell.
A tale of terror, screams and wrath.
By the wings of fearsome beast called: moth.
The time was nine, past four and two,
I knew this by the clock.
But I could not hope to know,
That soon, my peace would rock.
For riding on the gentle wind,
On this hot and humid night.
Swarms of crawling, downy fiends,
Danced in ghastly flight.
They buzzed between the rooftops,
All places they did roam,
And then, with wicked, chittering glee,
They chanced upon my home.
They flitted, searched, around it's walls,
All entrances they tried.
Until they found a window free,
A portal to inside.
A single thing did flutter in,
I marvelled at its grace.
But then it launched itself at me,
And fluttered in my face.
I gave a yelp, a fearful sound,
And struck it to the floor.
I crushed it with a single stomp,
And the creature was no more.
Once the beast lay dead and gone,
I gave a thankful sigh.
But it stopped strangled in my throat,
As six more darted by.
I turned to left most fearfully,
And beheld a startling sight.
A swarm of winged devil things,
Flying from the night.
Seven, eight, nine, ten,
Far more than could count.
I was unsure that I could fend,
Such a full amount.
But honour bound, I had to try,
So I fetched my weapon true.
A yellow, wire-filled, racket tool.
With lightning crackling through.
For hours on hours we danced about,
The deadly jig of pain.
Whilst the corpses of monsters fell,
About me in a rain.
And when the final Imp was done,
I slid slowly to the floor.
I was a shaken, scarred new man,
Marred, forever more.
And so this ends my chilling tale,
Be assured that it is true.
And watch your backs, my brave dear friends.
Lest they come next...for you.
So, yeah. True story. I was swarmed by loads of really big moths earlier, which was terrifying, and it inspired me to write this. And this is why I did nothing productive this night. I didn't even exaggerate the amount of them....
343253 Daww, thanks.
Lol that must be the most greatest ever known to anypony lolololololololololololololol
Oh noes!
It has begun.
Hey, I just read this! How do you do stuff like that? I'm terrible at rhyming.
408429 Well, I can rhyme fairly easily, and sometimes ideas just come to me, and it's easier to write them down than to not. I wish to be some manner of writer in later life, so hopefully that will come in handy...
