Hero vs. Villain · 8:58pm Jul 2nd, 2016

HERO: JOE DAVIS, national spokesman for Veterans of Foreign Wars, Air Force veteran of Desert Storm
REASON: Criticized the NRA's pro-Trump ad for using dead soldiers to score political points.

“Don’t use our dead to score political points,” Joe Davis, a Veterans of Foreign Wars national spokesman and an Air Force veteran of Desert Storm, told Media Matters. “We fought for everybody’s First Amendment rights and everything, but we don’t want any candidate using our dead to score political points.”

VERDICT: We all will salute you for this!

VILLAIN: AMERICAN FAMILY ASSOCIATION
REASON: Two of its members happened the blast the Military's new policy regarding transgenders both as ''a disgrace'' and as ''impeachable, damaging, and expensive''.

Today, Defense Secretary Ash Carter announced that he will now allow transgender individuals to serve in the military. This is a disgrace to our military and to our country. Thousands of men and women put their lives on the line daily to protect this great country. Our service members deserve better than a President and Defense Secretary who use their position for social experiments. Our leaders should be concerned about killing terrorists and defending our country. Instead, they’re running social experiments at the expense of our brave men and women. The President and Ash Carter should be ashamed of themselves.

- Tim Wildmon, president of the AFA.

President Obama and the Pentagon have violated the Constitution and committed an impeachable offense by unilaterally admitting transgenders, transvestites, and transexuals into the military.

According to Article I, Section 8 only Congress has authority to change the rules which govern the military. Congress has never authorized the induction of those who engage in these behaviors into the armed forces. For the commander-in-chief to make and implement a decision of this magnitude is an impeachable offense on any number of levels, not the least of which is the plain fact that it defies the Constitution and trashes the entire concept of the separation of powers.

This decision will have a negative impact on recruitment, retention, and readiness. A diminishing number of vigorous young males will be interested in joining this kind of military, or signing up for another stretch.

The pragmatic challenges alone are enough to prove this is a terrible idea. Will every military base be retooled to provide completely separate bathrooms and shower rooms and bunkhouses for men who think they are women, and a whole different set for women who think they are men? What about accommodations aboard ships and submarines where space is at a premium? The mind reels at the logistical nightmare this will create for a military whose job is to protect us, not engage in radical and foolish social engineering.

- Bryan Fischer, host of AFA's Focal Point

And then there was Old Man Tony Perkins, who took to Twitter to say that the measure was ''another example of Obama using America's military to fight culture wars instead of real wars against our enemies.''
VERDICT: ARE YOU KIDDING US?!?!
