Not.
Well, kind of. I love spending tome with grandparents, regardless of why I'm there.
So, I got a call from my grandfather on Monday morning saying he wanted me to come over on Tuesday to help him get a shed built and finished. The basic structure was already done, it just needed insulation, wiring, lights, a third loft, and then all of my grandmother's sewing stuff is getting hauled in there. (For the sake of details, my grandmother has enough fabric on its own to completely fill four rooms in the house, AND THE GARAGE!!! This isn't counting thread, equipment, and plans.) Imagine my lack of surprise when I discovered this wasn't a shed. It was a barn.
Strangely, it was a blue barn. That kind of threw me off. I was expecting red.
Tuesday was spent putting in 1/2 inch Styrofoam boards for insulation and getting some stuff down from upstairs in the house and into one of the lofts. Wednesday we finished the insulation and started drilling holes for the wiring, also getting some more stuff out of the house. Thursday I didn't actually help them, as I was busy moving rooms back home. That took all day. Friday, today, we finished the wiring and spent an hour and a half trying to get the LED T8/T12 lights to work. Turned out we had the wrong fixtures, so we just got some standard T8 fluorescent bulbs. Shocked myself twice. Hauled more stuff into the barn. Passed out cold when I got home.
Tomorrow, Saturday, I'm going to the birthday party of my two nieces, so that day will be busy as well. Sunday should be a nice, relaxing day for me. Should. Yeah! I'm looking at you, Murphy! And Monday, we hopefully finish hauling grandma's stuff into the barn.
As you can plainly see, I have been very busy. I have had little time all week to write anything, yet somehow I finished chapter six of Tartarus Forged. The only reason it's not posted yet is because I feel I may start walking in the same direction I did with The Harmony League if I do. I'm going to spend Sunday going over it and seeing if what I have planned is really a good call, and likely discussing possible solutions with Cyberfire22 if he feels up to dragging himself out of his post-final exams coma.
See you all on Tuesday!
Sorry to hear that things have been going rough for ya. And yeah, I think I should be available on Sunday to talk if nothing else comes up.
Getting ahead of your self in writing could be a good sign. Hopefully all you need to do is outline what you want to do in this part and it does not deviate too far from plan.
I have to admit, I feel bad that things have been that rough for you. Then again, I completely understand that real world concerns have to take top priority. Well, we'll hear from you when we hear from you.
