4012102 you have to watch the extras, the original story had the fox as the mane character. He was a business man and was trying to build a theme park. All predators past the age of 5 must wear colars that shock them when they get emotional. At this park predators would get their collars removed and they could enjoy them selves.

However no banks would give him a lone since all the banks are run by prey animals, they either refused because he's a predator, or because he has no credit. He then got the lone from a predator crime boss.

From what I guess from another cut deleted scene, something happens and he is taken hostage by the crime group and escapes with the rabbit officer, who witnesses a collaring party of a 5 year old polar bear cub.
