Fanfiction review: Reconnect: Kingdom Hearts · 4:16am May 29th, 2016
Today we are going to talk about StarToursTraveler fanfiction Reconnect: Kingdom Hearts. This fanfiction pick right after Birth by Sleep secret ending left off. So if haven’t play that game yet there going to be spoilers in this review and in this fanfic. So you know if you don’t want any spoilers for the games then you shouldn’t read this review and don’t cry about if read this review anyway.
So after the events of the Birth by Sleep, Sora decide to go off go to find Terra, Aqua, and Ven…alone. Without Donald, Goofy, Karari, or Riku? And he’s just sliding around in the ocean and not looking in space? In fact why hasn’t Mickey told Sora where Aqua, Terra, and Ven where last seen? Ok…I know Sora isn’t the brightest character around but I think he’s smarter than this. Anyway the plot kick off when we see two figures talking to each other and Sora got suck into the The Land of Darkness. There he met Aqua and due to events that you can read for yourself in this fanfiction, they become master and apprentice. And that’s all I’m going to say about this fanfiction plot, which by the way is actually a really good plot for this fanfiction.
There’s a lot of good things about this fanfiction, but first I have to talk the negative stuff first. I kind of I have to do this. One of the main problems with this fanfic is it’s dialogue. Some of it sounds very weird and unnatural. There also is very little worlds in this fanfiction. Which is one of things I like about the game. There also some songs I think can be draw out of this fanfiction but that’s a minor set back. I mean they come out of no where but they didn’t hurt the story by any means.
Now for the good parts. The fights scenes in this fanfiction are amazing. Star really knows how to write good action scenes. It feels like you’re watching a anime or playing a video game Comedy is also very good. There were times were I giggled a bit. Like I said before the plot is also good but I can’t tell because it’s best to into this fanfiction blind.
While there are some problems like the whole nobodies thing, but keep in mind this was made before Dream Drop Dresser was made. So can we blame the author for missing that detail.
