Apparently

Apparently, according to a higher up at Marvel, us jumping to the conclusion being in HYDRA makes Cap a Nazi is totally not Marvel's fault and completely surprised them.

Of course, that makes perfect sense. After all, why would we jump to the completely illogical conclusion that someone being a life long indoctrinated member of a group that splintered off the Nazis, follows Nazi mentality, and is frequently lead by a man who Hitler personally groomed to be the ultimate Nazi who also frequently wears a giant swastika on his chest as his personal emblem or wears some variation of a Nazi uniform would also be a Nazi?

Because Nazi started as a simple political party that turned into the most hated group in the world after some shit hit the fan. There's also the gray-gray moral ground; who to say Hydra's followers are necessarily evil? There's also that chance that the cosmic cube girl messed with his head.

The possibilities are endless. After all, either you die a hero, or you live long enough to become the villain.
