4) In the event when Princess Celestia goes rogue
Before we formally start this section of the report, please do note that this situation is completely hypothethical Mr President. Princess Celestia has been anything but unstable and has been so for millenia. This report is just mandatory because you cannot be too sure of your allies. Do not take this into account with your daily contacts and communications with the Equestrian Princess, she has been a VERY valuable ally and this should only be taken seriously in a case where the situation is deemed similar or exactly the same.
While there is no indication anytime soon that Princess Celestia nor Equestia will go rogue and turn into enemies of France, it is nonetheless a good mental exercise to take in case it actually happens. Equestria has been nothing but France’s most important ally in this world and the consequences of a rogue Equestria can be very damaging for France, the world, and Equestria itself.
There are multiple scenarios conjured up by the Foreign Ministry, the Defense Ministry and the DGSE in regards to a rogue Equestria. While the scenarios round up at the triple digits, we will present you with only a few scenarios which seem to be the most plausible.
Princess Celestia goes rogue, Equestria does not support Celestia
Deemed most plausible. In the event of a Celestirogue event. French special forces are to lure the Princess into an open area such as White Tail Woods, The Northern Plains, The Celestial or Lunar Oceans and the Everfree Forest and will attempt to distract the Princess long enough just for a flight of 4 Rafales carrying ASMP-A nuclear missiles to be launched at the Sun Princess. Two more flights are to be put into combat patrol in case the first flight fails to neutralize the target. Once target is down, a dedicated mage division will be deployed in the area carrying high intensity hazmat suits and will attempt to seal Princess Celestia. If sealing is failed then more flights are to bombard the area with ASMP-A nuclear missiles ASAP until it is deemed safe to retry sealing procedures.
In the event of a sucessfull sealing, Princess Celestia is to be transported to a secure location at the southern tip of the Equestrian continent where a supermax prison will be built around the Princess. From then on psychologists will attempt to convince Celestia that whatever she is doing is misguided while Mage Divisions will maintain the sealing spell to prevent mana decay.
An official announcement is to be made regarding the current situation with Celestia, Princess Luna will act as current Monarch for Equestria and the group known as the ‘Mane 6’ are to be contacted immediately following Celestia’s sealing. The bearers especially the one known as Twilight Sparkle may provide useful insights in reforming Princess Celestia.
Princess Celestia goes rogue, Equestria supports Celestia while Luna asks for French help
We now declare war on Equestria, declaring that Celestia is unfit to rule. Using Luna as a rallying point for Ponies that don’t want to be Celestia’s subject. Celestia is to be baited into an isolated area (preferably with Princess Luna) and is to be bombarded with ASMP-A nuclear missiles until sealing magic can be executed on Celestia.
French troops will then be deployed en masse into Equestria, pacifying the populace into accepting Luna’s rule. Expect guerrilla warfare and COIN operations to be the main center for France for the next decade or two. Once the population is pacified, diplomatic renegotiations between France and Equestria is to be committed immediately to reestablish trade and to rebuild Equestria under the rulership of Princess Luna. Recommend establishing connection with the Mane 6 in order to extract the element bearers immediately before Celestia captures them.
Psychologists are to be deployed to Princess Celestia’s holding cells in order to convince Celestia that whatever she’s doing is misguided while a dedicated mage division will be on standby near her prison, maintain the sealing spell to prevent mana decay.
Princess Celestia goes rogue, Equestria and Princess Luna supports Celestia, Element Bearers and Mi’amore Cadenza rebel
An immediate extraction operation is to be executed meant to extract the Element Bearers and Mi’amore Cadenza from Equestria. In the event of failure France is to immediately declare war as well as immediately informing Equestria’s allies about the current situation.
In the case of a successful extraction, France is to depose Princess Luna and Princess Celestia in order to put in either Princess Mi’amore Cadenza or Twilight Sparkle on the throne of Equestria. A sting operation is to be conducted, trying to convince Princess Luna and Princess Celestia into a position thought to be a French mustering ground, once either Princess Luna or Princess Celestia arrives in the designated area. 2 flights of Rafale fighters carrying ASMP-A nuclear missiles is to launch their payloads immediately followed by a rapid response Mage Division in order to conduct a sealing spell.
Princess Luna and Princess Celestia are to be transported to a secure site in the southern tip of the Equestrian continent and Psychologists as well as Princess Mi’amore or the Element Bearers are to convince and talk their way to reform Princess Luna and/or Princess Celestia.
Princess Celestia goes rogue, full support from everyone within Equestria
Immediate declaration of war followed by a nuclear barrage targeting all major targets in Equestria. Submarines and Aircraft are to target major population centers such as Canterlot, Manehatten, Vanhoover, Baltimare etc and major farmlands such as the Mild West and the Unicorn Range farmland. Equestria’s allies are to be informed about the developing situation and a solution that satisfies all parties is to be created and ratified ASAP.
5) In the event of a palace coup
While the possibility of a palace coup is extremely low. We must nonetheless anticipate for it’s possibility. Mr President if a palace coup were to happen Princess Celestia, Princess Luna and Princess Cadence might be locked up in a dungeon somewhere in Canterlot. This requires delicate handling as there is a possiblity for Princess Cadence to be killed or worse. Immediate faux negotiations is highly recommended and even mandatory depending on the circumstances presented, while our ambassador will try to improvise his way through the situation, forces stationed at New Sartre (the undiscovered west in Equestria) will be deployed into Ponyville to extract the Mane 6 from possible capture by the aggressors.
Upon arriving safely in New Sartre, an operation to infiltrate Canterlot and rescue Princess Celestia, Luna and Cadence is to be devised immediately. They are too valuable an asset to lose and there will be popular rebellion demanding the release of the Princesses once word gets out. They will be transported to the French embassy and to be extracted safely by helicopter to New Sartre. This is considered a high risk operation as there is a possibility that Equestrian Royal Guard units will try to block the helicopter’s escape path. To counteract this Rafales deployed from the Charles de Gaulle or the currently being built Michel Ney Air Force Base in New Sartre will conduct Combat Air Patrol operations across the escape route of the helicopter to eye in potential threats and take them down before they pose a threat.
Upon the arrival of the Princesses to New Sartre, France is to immediately declare war in order to restore the throne. Popular support is to be expected and Canterlot should be easily retaken via cooperation with the locals, rebels, and loyalist Royal Guard Units. The DGSE will also deploy field agents into Equestria should this event occur to root out potential spies supporting the aggressorss or any other hindering elements to the operation. Should the operation be a success, the perpetrators are to be put into the authority of the Royal Sisters and an immediate rebuilding project to restore what was destroyed in the hopefully short war be devised with input from the Royal Sisters as well.
