Perhaps not the deepest offering we've gotten, but it makes up for it by being a ton of fun. The diner interview scenes between the main action was a really nice touch that reinforced the moral and gave the episode a unique flavor, as well as the opportunity for some extra great gags. A certain discussion of cloning comes to mind. The comedic timing and pacing? Spot-on.
If there was one problem I had with this episode, though, it would be Starlight Glimmer's absence. This is something that also plagued Newbie Dash, but to a lesser extent than here. Given how No Second Prances demonstrated her habit of using her magic in questionable ways in her effort to please, she would have been perfect for this episode and contributing to the general mayhem. Alas... Hopefully soon enough they'll start to integrate her more, give her a chance to interact with Twilight's friends (and for real, not like in Hearth's Warming Tale)
But that being said, the complaint is more with what the episode could have been than with what it was, so I still give this gloriously hilarious episode 5 out of 5 Raccoon Waiters.
