Heeeey! That project I was working on for so long? I'm still working on it, but here's a preview. The fic that I've submitted alongside this blog post is an introduction to Alexandrite: Ace Attorney! It's a standalone prequel to a much longer fic which is coming soon. This new, first fic introduces us to Alexandrite, a crystal pony and defense attorney, and her boss, Escutcheon Herald. Alex is a bit of a fraidy-cat, but that stems largely from the anxiety she suffers from. Nonetheless, her job is her job, and she didn't choose to defend ponies on a whim. She might just be on the sidelines for now, but she'll get her chance.
Now onto slightly more serious matters: I'm currently running short on funds, and so I've begun accepting Paypal Donations.
If you like my writing, and you can afford it, I can use all the help I can get. But before all that, I want to outline what the money I get will be going towards:
1) Gas. I go to college, but I live off campus. It costs me just under $20 to get out there and back each week, and that's only because I only have 3 days of classes rather than 5. I have enough to get myself through next week, but I've got another week of classes after that which will include my finals. If I only get a few dollars, all of it will be going straight into my gas tank so that I can finish out the semester, at which point I'll have a job lined up over the summer and will be able to save. I managed to make it through to the summer, but gas will still be going into the tank~
2) Food. I'm not starving, I have access to a reliable source of food which doesn't cost me anything, but my options on-campus are limited. A salad or sandwich now and then wouldn't go amiss.
3) Car insurance. Again, I'm not behind on this, but I'd be pushing their patience if I made them wait an extra month for me to get a job and pay them this month and next's at once. Food and gas are more immediate and important concerns, but this would be nice to knock off too, if possible.
4/5) Student Loans and Miscellany. Student Loans are going to be the bane of my existence for a long time, and any income I get now will be that much more money I'll have later to plug into loans. Miscellany includes a variety of other things: Mostly toiletries and house supplies, but also a bit of entertainment (I may possibly get into streaming to share that, as well), and extra gas to get to school on what are normally my off days, to talk to professors and attend some study sessions. And, of course, if enough interest is shown in my writing I'll be able to write even more, including several possible Alexandrite fics after these first two I have planned, and who knows what else?

And don't worry about feeling bad! A trip with your friends sounds awesome, and I have enough ways to get by, so you're not like leaving me out in the cold or anything.
The reason I didn't make any blogs here for the longest time is because I legitimately wasn't on the site. I had a lot of other stuff to look after, and writing fanfiction took a backseat. I'll try to be a bit more active now, though!
