Might be wise to reread The Last Sentinel a little...

Possibly from Reflection Nineteen: Blood and Water. Possibly before... say, next week.

    Just saying.

    It's been a while

This seems to be a regularly reoccurring thing with me.

First off, I wish to apologize to all my readers for the stupidly long delays between my stories' installments. I tried starting Off the Record as an attempt to get through the depressing sequence in The Last Sentinel, but using a new perspective is bringing challenges of its own. Seems to be familiar pattern.

Hokay... time to just up and say it.

Although I've been looking forward to this current installment of TLS and I've had free time for about three weeks now, I barely wrote. It's just so goddamn depressing a point in the story that it really gets to me, and it just kills my motivation. Which is why I'd like to ask you all a question.

Hokay... yeah, it's been a very, very long time, so I think it's time to say what's been going on. Because it's been over eight months since I've put something up, and I feel horrible for that.

That said, trying to write Scar's sequence actually gave me inspiration for a new approach to Reflection Twenty-Four, which is now going through a major rework for... I think the fourth or fifth time. The foundation seems solid this time, though. I can't give a firm release time or even an estimate, but it's around roughly twenty pages on a Google document so far.

Politics is hard.

But... I guess I should also update you all on what I've been up to.

Coming to terms with my sexuality, dealing with the resultant fallout with my dad (pun intended), breathing a sigh of relief when others have been more accepting of it, and other things like gaming and pharmacy school. Okay, maybe they're not just little tag-ons at the end there. I've been wasting a lot of time gaming (which I'm sorry about... sometimes) and... actually enjoying pharmacy school. I definitely feel like it was the right choice for me to pursue this career, and I've already started helping people and getting that warm, fuzzy feeling inside.

... I'm also Vice President of Student Affairs of our student pharmacy advocacy organization. Which is the first time I've ever been in a leadership position of this caliber. So, uh, nervousciting times.

Other than that, I've still been keeping up with My Little Pony, a bit of Doctor Who, One Punch Man, and slowly starting to watch classic American action films like Die Hard and Lethal Weapon that I missed out on in my childhood.

Anyway... again, my sincerest apologies to you all regarding this long delay without any communication from me. I still plan on finishing TLS. Just maybe not in the timeframe that Kkat did for FoE.

Until next time,

Don't rush yourself. I'm sure we'd all prefer quality over quantity. Besides that, real life is more important than writing. Take it easy and all, eh?
