Sugarcoat Interferes in Pony History

Sugarcoat interferes In Pony History is a fanfic that invokes both laughs, and hates out of me.
Its premise is, sadly, poorly shown outside of its description (which has a SPOILER in it, which I will dance around in this review. Please skip this post if you don’t want it).
Sugarcoat from the movie Equestria Girls: Friendship Games falls through a hole created in time and space as a result of events that occur at the climax of the movie, and winds up in Ponyville at the beginning of part II of the pilot episode for the show, Friendship is Magic.
The fic takes the usual plot idea of following the show episode by episode (a plot idea that I personally find to 98% of the time to be poor, unimaginative, and indicative of poor writing), but has Sugarcoat essentially point out the flaws and errors in judgement that the main cast make in her usual blunt manner.
This leads to short chapters that can, as I stated in my case at the beginning of this review, invoke a variety of responses from chapter to chapter. The responses range from sudden bursts/snorts of laughter, to large amounts of hate for Sugarcoat.
While some of the chapters do leave a bad taste in my mouth, I find that it’s an amusing read overall, and worth those chapters of wrath invokement.
When Should I Read It?
I would recommend reading this fic during breaks at work. With the short lengths of each chapter, it’s easy to put down at a moment’s notice when you realize you need to get back to work now, thus keeping you from getting in trouble with management, or your co-workers.
When was it Initially Published?
It was initially published on February 27th, 2016, two months following the finale of Season 5, and four months following Equestria Girls: Friendship Games. As of today (February 29th, 2016), it is up to date on all of its facts, though the episode by episode plot format would have allowed it to avoid many of the potential pitfalls of not being up-to-date on the lore of the show (as the great Fallout: Equestria now does).
How would you Rate this?
I personally would give this fic a 6/10 simply due to the occasional chapters that really make me not like this portrayal of Sugarcoat. However, I would still give this fic a chance if you’re looking for a small laugh during your work breaks.
