"Random" Update · 2:03am Aug 30th, 2012
Hello dudes and dudettes. I just wanted to let you know that RandomEncounter and I have been working hard to get the next chapters of his stories out. This past weekend, we hung out at the local Mexican restaurant and got our margaritas on and discussed some Thunderstruck! We went back home and split up the writing duties, churning out a couple thousand words over the course of the weekend. And we are still not done! *shakes fist at the sky* Random! Get on it! I can only do so much!
Anyway... We're working on Mass Effect: Dissension tonight and I've got one hell of an attention span right now. Between half a bottle of wine, Doctor Who, and Torchwood, how can I possibly concentrate on space ponies?? Argh!
Best way to get Random to write when he's distracted by all his IRC friends (I love you guys, but *shake fist!* 
): Spew out half-intelligible sentences in his fanfic and get him to edit them because they're not up to standard. Is that some kind of written reverse psychology? Hmmm... One of my favorite sentences was when I described Spike as a purple blob. Also... we're following the first two episodes somewhat closely in this and the previous chapter, and I had written a part where Shaun (sarcastically) comments on how often the ponies gasp in unison when Nightmare Moon appears; almost as if they had practiced or something... I reminded myself of the Spring Cleaning/Recycle episode of Rocko's Modern Life, one of my favorite eps! But the section was cut. :P

EDIT: I didn't realize it, but somehow I implied that Random doesn't write his own stories? ...huh...? Anyway, that's not what I meant to say. Random has absolutely written every single chapter himself. I've only bounced ideas off of him and edited his stories. It is only recently that I have actually written stuff, myself, in his works; just the upcoming chapters of Thunderstruck and Dissension. He is the creative genius. I just help in any way I can. :) <end obligatory edit>
Anyway, that's all for now. You can bet your ass I've been hounding and asking Random if he's worked on the stories every time I speak to him. The works are progressing, I promise. Hopefully we'll have the next chapter of something out soon. :3
