SO! Been a while, hasn't it? Now that I FINALLY have a new chapter of "Dear Princess Luna" finished and published, I can go talking about the changes I have made to the story itself. For those of you who don't want to go over the story more than once.
The first and biggest change is Citrine's leg. When she was born, her leg was twisted and she couldn't walk properly. So I have added that to the story. Adding this element I feel brings more tragedy to Citrine's story. Being born crippled and being teased/ridiculed for it. Like a hunchback, only, not seen as a hunchback. If that makes sense. (I'm not going to make the story THAT bad.)
The next change, is Citrine's name. I wanted her name to symbolize something (I cannot say why because that would included spoilers and my ideas for the upcoming storyline), The reason I chose "Kindred Spirit" as a name in the earliest version of the story, was because I wanted her to feel just like Luna, in a way. Eventually, I wanted to change it, because it felt odd and didn't have enough meaning to who she was as a person--er--pony. I then changed it to "Cyrkon" because it was a modified version of a latin word for some stone that I forgot that had the perfect meaning for her name. I eventually wanted to change THAT because it felt odd to say out loud. (I don't even know how to say that our loud ) So I settled on "Citrine" (HINT: it's french). I might actually change Interstellar's name, due to recent plot development.
The other changes I made where simple plot holes due to the change of including Citrine's leg. But other than that, nothing has changed too much. The basic plot is still the same. (And my plot secrets are still the same.) Only, from now on, each chapter that comes out will be more or less in draft status until I put the final touches on the entire story itself.
And with that, that is all i need to say for this update of "Dear Princess Luna". Have a wonderful night!
Love, Melody Scribe
Reread it all before seeing this. I thought I'd have remembered her name being a gemstone.
